Nikki’s Weekly Tarot Reading: May 7-13, 2018

tarot reading

2 of Swords, Peace, and Princess of Cups

When I went to write this weeks article I saw this was my 52nd post. I have been writing for Forever Conscious for a whole year! Reflecting back on the practice of writing every week for a year, I felt a sense of peace and accomplishment.

Creating positive habits can be difficult, you don’t always want to do something good for yourself. Sometimes you are lazy, uninspired, distracted, or too busy. Also life is never consistent, so traveling, illness, relationships, and jobs can all get in the way of our healthy habits too.

But making a commitment to yourself and keeping it, is one of the most positive things you can do. It will build immense trust and confidence within yourself and help you feel strong and proud.

We all have different habits we want to commit to, things we want to add or beef up in our lives in order to feel happier or healthier. When you make a goal around a habit, it is important to make it realistic so you can keep it. But it is also important to stretch yourself to see how far you can go.

The cards for this week definitely connect to the idea of seeing something difficult in a new light and building a healthy relationship with yourself.

The 2 of Swords, or Peace, is all about gaining a sense of peace through changing your perspective. How can we change our perspective around our habits, daily chores, or even burdensome activities? How can we take something that we might struggle with and see it in a new way? This card will give us the ability to have a perspective shift this week.

For me, being able to see how long I have been writing gave me a new perspective on personal commitment. The accomplishment I feel from writing these articles made me want to make more long term goals in my life. But I am motivated to do it with things that I struggle with more, such as exercise.

Be aware of the ability to find a sense of calm around things that have been giving you troubles throughout the week. You will find higher ground and reveal a new way to view something that has been holding you back.

The Princess of Cups is powerful card about compassion and self care. Cups is the suite of emotions and empathy. It is about filling your emotional well so you are strong enough to face the world.

The Princess of Cups values peace and tranquility and will thrive under the influence of the 2 of Swords. She will love this new found peaceful perspective. With the calm energy in the air she will allow you to hear the creative voice of your intuition.

When your intuition speaks, make sure to write down what it is says and follow the instructions. That is your soul’s voice giving you sage advice on how to move forward in the best possible way.

The Princess of Cups is a dreamer. But she takes from her mind and brings the dreams into reality. She is the earthy part of water, making things concrete from the abstract.

She lives by the idea that ‘if you dream it, you can be it.’ But if you do not speak the words, if you do not visualize the ideas, if you do not hope for a bright future, it will not come.

The energy of this card will call you to put words to your goals this week. It will call you to sketch out your desires and sing your dreams.

With our perspective change allowing for new peaceful energy, and our intuitive voice helping us speak forth our goals, this should be a very hopeful and positive week. If you have been feeling down, really allow yourself to feel even a glimmer of light from this vibrational shift.

I send my gratitude to all of you for coming along with me on this tarot journey. Here is to another year of readings and connecting with our spirit.

Mantra for the week: I see my struggles in a new light and I am filled with tranquility. I can manifest my dreams by sharing them with the world.
