Prince of Disks and The Star

With each step we feel where we have walked before. We are keenly aware of the roads we have taken and the hurdles we have overcome.

We feel memories in our feet. They remember the stones that pierced our soles and the puddles that drenched our shoes. They are cautious now, questioning what path to take and if they can trust their footing.

This the feeling of the Prince of Disks. He sits in a bulky chariot that is both heavy and cumbersome, slowly moving forward. The back of his seat is covered in small boulders. He can feel each one on his skin, pressing into him as he travels.

The message here is about our painful past experiences. It seems we can never quite shake them. But the question is, do we want to?

The Prince of Disks may feel his past and move slowly as a result, but he is still moving forward. And because of his awareness, the past guides and informs him. His past allows him the wisdom of experience. He is moving slow but with more intention now. He knows the tricks and pitfalls along the way and can avoid them as he goes.

So how can we honor the pain of the past while also seeing it as a blessing for our future?

I know having a difficult past is not easily seen as a blessing. But how can we start to shift our minds this week? How can we be thankful for what we have experienced instead of being angry or resentful? How can we start accepting that we will always carry these experiences but not let them block us from our future?

I think this starts with acceptance.

Once we accept those boulders at our back, we can move forward with them. And through acceptance they become less painful.

We know the past makes us who we are: stronger, wiser and more powerful than before.

The Prince of Disks reminds us of our strengths. He calls us to give gratitude for all our richness of experience.

Next, we have The Star. This card is truly one of the most hopeful and lovely cards in the deck.

A glowing creature is letting light pour on her while it also flows down into a stream below. She is simultaneously giving and receiving. She represents the ultimate balance of love.

When The Star card comes up, she asks us to expect a miracle. The powers of the Universe are on your side, so it is a perfect time to ask them for what you need.

Stars are a symbols of hope, energy, and new life. With her around, life is about to become brighter and more manageable.

The Star card allows us to connect with the powers of the Universe more easily. We suddenly have a new found ability to truly let in the light around us and be grateful. Our prayer, meditation, or spiritual practice seem to be on a deeper level and we spend more time in this space.

The Star card aids us in removing the anger or criticism we may have about our past and instead allows us to focus on our strengths.

When we do this, along with giving ourselves love and compassion, there is a transformation. We can get and give love with ease.

Look out for your transformation this week. With this type of energy wonderful things will happen and you will see yourself renewed.

Mantra for the week- My past is as story of strength that gives me wisdom and endurance. I connect with energy of the Universe and feel transformed. Love pours in and out of me like the light of a star.
