Gemini Full Moon Ritual November 2018

gemini full moon ritual

The Gemini Full Moon on November 23-24th is going to help shed light and bring clarity to a situation that may have been in the dark for some time.

This newfound clarity is going to open our minds and expand the possibilities around us. Where we have only seen closed doors and brick walls, we are going to see windows of opportunity.

This ritual is designed to help open you up to the energy of the Gemini Full Moon so you can find your truth and expose any blocks or barriers that may be holding you back from living in your fullest power.

Gemini Full Moon Ritual for Finding Your Truth

This ritual can be done anytime, however it is best done from November 22-December 5, 2018

You will need:

  • Herbal Tea (traditionally licorice and/or sage tea is associated with seeing into the truth, but feel free to make do with whatever herbal teas you have on hand)
  • Cup, spoon, and hot water for the tea
  • Smudging tools of choice
  • Pen and paper
  • Timer

Directions:

1.) Start by smudging your aura and surroundings. For specific instructions on how to smudge please read this. As you smudge your aura, recite the following-

“I cleanse my light body so it is young and free. I cleanse my emotional body so it is clear and free of any densities that are no longer mine to carry. I cleanse my physical body so it is vibrant and healthy. I cleanse my entire being. I am cleansed through and through. I am now light. I am now aligned. I am now ready to see the truth.”

As you smudge your surroundings and ritual space, recite the following (feel free to smudge your tea herbs and cup if you wish-

“I purify my home of all heavy energies. I sweep away any energy that is harsh or heavy and allow only energy that is light and loving. I clear space for the new to enter. I clear space for seeing the truth. I cleanse away the past and welcome in the future. My home is now infused with light and loving energy. My home is now infused with light and loving energy.”

2.) Set up a ritual space that is quiet and where you can’t be disturbed. Brew the tea according to directions and bring it to your sacred space. Have your spoon, timer, and pen and paper handy also.

3.) Sit in a comfortable position and hold your teacup with both hands. Close your eyes and feel the warmth of the cup traveling up through your arms and through your body. Take 7 deep breaths here to relax and still your mind.

4.) Take your spoon and gently begin stirring your tea (it doesn’t matter which direction). Watch the whirlpool that forms as you stir. Gaze into the whirlpool and recite the following or feel free to make up your own in the moment-

“It is safe for me to see the truth. It is safe for me to break down the walls and see the truth. I am strong. I am protected. I am ready to see the truth. I am ready to be shown the path.”

5.) Stop stirring and gaze into your cup. Just pay attention to any images, thoughts, or feelings that are stirred for you. If you have a hard time focusing just take 10 breaths as you watch the water swirl in the cup.

6.) Now repeat the following affirmations before taking a sip-

“I open myself to the truth”

Take a sip

“I know the truth will set me free”

Take another sip

“I trust what the Universe has in store for me”

Take a third sip

“I open my heart to the power that is within”

Take a fourth sip

“I release the past”

Take a fifth sip

“Now all that is before me are new possibilities”

Take a final sip

7.) Now, place your hand over your heart, close your eyes and tune into the light and power that is residing within. Feel the power and warmth of the tea moving through your body, feel the power of the words you just spoke moving through your body. Take another 6 deep, relaxing breaths here.

8.) Put your tea off to the side and take your pen and paper, and timer. If you don’t feel like writing, you can also do a 15-30 minute self-guided meditation too if you wish. At the top of your page write-

“These are the blocks in my life that hold me back and keep me paying small…”

Set your timer for 15-30 minutes and begin writing down whatever comes to your mind. The idea here is to not overthink it and to just write down whatever comes. Try to keep writing even if it’s not answering the question. It is more important to keep the pen moving as eventually, you will have a breakthrough.

9.) Now, at the top of your page write-

“These are the most loving things I can do for myself right now to help me make positive changes…”

Again, set the timer for 15-30 minutes and begin writing whatever comes up or comes through. Keep it simple and try not to overthink it. If you are struggling, just come up with 5 simple things, even if they seem insignificant.

10.) Reflect back over your writing. What came up for you? What emotions are you feeling now? Get comfortable with whatever has come up for you. Place your hand over your heart and take 11 grounding breaths here. As you do this, you can repeat this mantra to yourself with each breath-

“I am safe, I am protected, I am loved.”

11.) Highlight and look at some of the loving changes you came up with in your writing and then make it a priority to add them to your daily routine.

12.) Feel free to finish off the rest of your tea or discard it. I do not recommend sharing the tea from your cup with anyone else.

13.) Over the coming days, pay attention to your dreams and any signs and clues from the Universe, as an area of your life may just receive some new illumination or a truth may be revealed to you.

Happy Full Moon!
