Nikki’s Weekly Tarot Reading: October 29-November 4, 2018

The Aeon and 8 of Wands, Swiftness

As we travel along in Scorpio season, I can feel the heavy energy around me. We are diving into deep issues and bringing what was once in the dark to the surface.

We may be dealing with unresolved feelings or parts of ourselves that we have ignored. We may be grieving some losses or letting go of things that no longer serve us.

We are connected to the veil between our world and the next that thins around this time of year. We know that things need to move on for the next phase of our life to begin.

Scorpios are traditionally thought of as people who love to dig up dark issues or brood in the shadows. However, I see them as light bearers, here to bring things out of the dark and into the light.

They go to the hidden places so that we can heal and have more positivity. They do not like to ignore things or sweep them under the rug, but instead face them head-on in order to bring more peace.

So when you are feeling heavy in this season, remember you are in dark in order to bring more things to the light. By dealing with discomfort now you will have much more joy later on.

The Aeon is the perfect card to pull during this time. It is all about healing unresolved issues and connecting to our past pains.

The Aeon card is also referred to as Judgement, Atonement, or Resurrection. The Thoth deck shows the goddess Nuit, a primal sky goddess’ arched body over our heads representing immortality.

A transparent child figure stands inside the arch and a ruler figure is behind him. Both figures represent the Egyptian God Horus, first as a child and then as a leader. Horus is seen as a God of redemption because he killed the God that murdered his father.

The Aeon card points to the ever present child and adult energy that lives inside all of us. It calls us to heal our inner child. This healing is so important in order to be in our healthy adult state. We must love, forgive, and stand up for our inner youth to feel connected and powerful now.

In order to believe we are deserving of the life we want we must heal our old wounds. So this week take some time to ask yourself: what hurt you when you were young? How can you confront, grieve, and mend those wounds? How can you love yourself in the ways that you always needed?

This work will be challenging and maybe a little painful, but I promise you it will be worth it. This will lead to your best life. This will lead to your inner wealth.

When I pull this card, I usually say that it is not something that can be done in a week. But this process can start now, maybe through journaling, maybe through counseling or maybe through conversations with your family.

However, since our next card is the 8 of Wands or Swiftness, we will experience a rapid amount of growth in a short amount of time. This card will bring its powers of clearing and quickness to allow this growth to occur.

You will feel yourself opening up at a faster pace. You will also notice that obstacles to this healing will be removed quicker. You might even meet someone or read something this week that brings a sudden clarity.

Whatever ways the 8 of Wands aids your healing it will be positive. You will have the support of the cards and cosmos as you do some deep work. I will also send you some light and love on your way.

Mantra of the week: I open myself to heal old wounds and love the parts that need it the most. There are no blocks around me as I quickly feel whole.
