Peru Reopens UFO Investigations and One Man’s Alien Abduction Story

Peru’s official UFO investigation department has just been reopened after a recent increase in sightings.

The Peruvian Office of Anomalous Aerial Phenomena Research, which has been shut down for the last five years, has been reopened to analyze the possibility that UFO’s and alien life exists.

Along with air force personnel, sociologists, archaeologists and astronomers, the government group is aiming to investigate the increased sightings reported across the Andes town of Marabamba.

Peru airforce Col. Julio Jose Vucetich Abanto, who is in charge of the Directorate of Aerospace Interests stated, “those who observe seemingly unconventional phenomena, which cause surprise or concern, know that there is an institution that will study and research your information.”

While countries in South America and even Canada support the investigation of UFO’s the American government has closed it’s study claiming that no supporting evidence was ever found.

Since then, many have accused the US government of covering up UFOs and continuing their investigation in secrecy.

There have been many people claiming to have been abducted by aliens however, no stories have ever been proven.

One man who claims he was taken by alien forces is Travis Walton whose alien encounter was retold in the 1993 film, Fire in the Sky

On the morning of November 5, 1975 after a hard days work logging, Walton and his co-workers claim to have spotted a bright light and what appeared to be a crashed airplane.

On closer inspection, the workers claim it was a silvery disc hovercraft that was around 8 feet high and 20 feet in diameter.

The bright light grew stronger and stronger and the men reported seeing Walton’s body rise up about 10 feet towards the light. His body was abruptly thrown down again and his colleagues all thought he was dead.

They began running from the object thinking they were under attack however, after the disc didn’t follow them, they went back to retrieve Walton. When they returned to the scene, Walton and the disc were no where to be found.

A police investigation began including a search for Walton. Deputy Sheriff Chuck Ellison, who interviewed the men claimed “if they were acting, they were awfully good at it.”

Days passed and there was still no sign of Walton, police were beginning to suspect that he could fall victim to hypothermia and were also suspicious that the alien story was to cover up a homicide.

As word of Walton’s disappearance spread internationally, the media and UFO enthusiasts began travelling to the scene to investigate.

After five days Walton reappeared. Anxious and mumbling about the terrifying beings that he saw. He thought he had only been gone for a few hours but when he was told he was gone for five days he went into a state of shock and stopped speaking.

After a medical examination, doctors found that Walton was in good health but had a small red spot near his right elbow, indicative of a hypodermic injection.

Speaking about his experience, Walton claims that he was struck by a beam of light and when he woke he was on a reclined bed with a bright light above him. He recalls the air as being wet and heavy and that he had trouble breathing.

He claims that at first he thought he was in  regular hospital, but then he saw three figures that appeared to be wearing an orange jumpsuit. They were not human and were described by Walton has having large domed heads, huge brown eyes but with much more white in them and extremely small noses, ears and mouths.

“The creepiest thing about them were those eyes, they just stared through me,” said Walton.
