Pisces New Moon Ritual March 2018

pisces new moon ritual

The Pisces New Moon on March 17-18th signifies a time of healing, reflection, and a time for planting new seeds.

For most of the year so far we have been under the influence of Mother Moon. With two Blue Moon‘s and a series of potent Eclipses all happening in the first three months, lunar energy has been at an all time high.

The March New Moon in Pisces brings a special turning point of energy, as shortly following, the Sun will shift into Aries, heralding the start of the astrological new year and the beginning of another 12 month cycle.

It is therefore, under the energy of this New Moon that we can really wrap up loose ends from the last 12 months and think about how we are going to move forward into the future.

This ritual is designed to help shift you into a relaxed state of being where you can be open to reflecting on how you have grown and what desires you have for the future.

If the eyes are the window to the soul, the feet are the window to the entire physical body. Pisces energy rules over the feet, as it is through the feet that we support our body, connect with Mother Earth, and can move forward in the direction of our dreams.

Here is a foot pampering ritual that will help you to say goodbye to the old and welcome in the new-

Pisces New Moon Foot Soak Ritual 2018

You will need:

  • Large foot soaking tub (or you can do this in the bath)
  • Dried or fresh herbs of your choice (chamomile loose leaf tea also works great!)
  • Dried or fresh flowers of your choice
  • Sea Salt or Pink Himalayan Salt
  • Smudging tool of your choice
  • Journal and pen (optional)

Directions:

1.) Begin by smudging your entire body from top to toe. For more instructions on this, read here. As you smudge yourself, repeat the following mantra or write your own-

“I cleanse and release all the dead weight from the year gone by. I cleanse and release the journey I have walked for the last 12 months. I replenish my energy now and welcome in the new. I welcome the start of a new chapter, and ask that whatever is sent my way is done so peacefully for my highest destiny and growth. Thank You. Thank You. Thank You.”

2.) Get comfortable and set up all you need for your foot soak. Fill up the tub with warm or hot water.

3.) The salt is for purifying and detoxifying. Recite the following, then pour the salt in with feeling- “I cleanse and release all old, stagnant energy that is no longer mine to carry.”

4.) Repeat this process following with the herbs- “I calm and center my mind, body, and spirit so I may hear the calling of my soul guiding me in the right direction.”

Herbs you can use:

  • Sage: good for cleansing
  • Basil: good for purifying and releasing
  • Parsley: good for detoxifying and strengthening
  • Rosemary: good for releasing and cleansing
  • Chamomile, Lavender: good for relaxation
  • Lemongrass, Mint: good for invigorating

5.) Repeat this process with the flowers- “I bring joy and peace to my life so I can move with the flow and feel empowered by the direction my life takes me.”

Flowers you can use:

  • Red: brings in passion, romance, love, confidence
  • Pink: brings in heart healing, feminine energy, money
  • Yellow: brings in joy, optimism, mental clarity
  • Orange: brings in energy, motivation, sexual healing
  • Blue/Purple: brings in peace, intuitive energy, sensuality
  • White: brings in purity, balance, peacefulness

6.) Now that all your ingredients are in the tub, add your feet and soak up all the delicious energy! As you sit there, visualize all the energy entering up through your feet and reaching up and out of the top of your head.

7.) Reflect on how much you have grown over the last 12 months and perhaps think about what feelings or energies you would like to bring into your life moving forward.

7.) As you sit there, feel free to journal, meditate or even read a good book! Use this time in whatever way feels best to you.

8.) Once you are done with the foot bath, feel free to massage your feet with a nice moisturizer. Discard the water into the garden, or collect the herbs and discard in the trash if you don’t have access to a garden.

Happy New Moon!
