The Leo New Moon on August 4th comes at a very sensitive point in our month. We have been experiencing heightened solar storms, plus Mercury is entering retrograde and we are moving towards the Lion’s Gate Portal.
All of this energy combined makes the Leo New Moon a powerful one and a time when we may feel pulled in many directions. All New Moons are points of new beginnings, but with the other cosmic energies at play, we may feel uncertain of where to place ourselves.
If you are moving through the ups and downs of the current cosmic weather, you can work with the New Moon to activate joy, set intentions, and gain some clarity. One of the best ways to work with the Leo New Moon is to focus on simplicity. The simpler we can make things, the easier time we will have.
Here is a ritual to guide you:
Leo New Moon Ritual for Simplicity
You will need:
- Aura cleansing tool of choice
- 6 small pieces of paper
- Pen
- Fresh flowers (from the garden or store)
- Chakra Reset Meditation
- Lion’s Gate Crystal Reading (optional)
Directions:
1.) Start this ritual by cleansing your aura using your tool of choice. As you cleanse, recite the following:
“My body is my temple, my heart is full of peace, my mind is clear and open, and I am ready to release. I release all that is heavy, I release all that weighs down my soul. I let it go. I let it go. I am restored and whole, my energy does flow. I am in my power, I am in my strength, and from this place, I hold the light for myself and the world. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.”
2.) Now move on to cleanse your entire space. Start at your front door and work your way through your entire home. Be sure you leave a window or door open to let the negative energy escape. As you walk through your home, recite the following:
“My space is cleansed with the power of love and light. My space is divinely protected. All is safe, all is well. May the energy of this space bring peace to all those that enter. May the vibrations of calmness, understanding, and compassion flow through this space for today and for all days. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.”
3.) Now that your home is cleansed, create a small sacred space where you can put your flowers. Feel free to decorate the space like an altar with crystals, candles, or whatever you wish to use.
4.) Now, three pieces of paper and write down something you wish to release on each of the papers. You can write whatever you like, but try to keep it as simple as possible. Fold them up and keep it next to you.
5.) Get nice and comfortable and begin your Chakra Reset Meditation. This meditation is great for resetting your entire energetic body. In this meditation, you will work with your energy centers one by one to activate healing, grounding, and balance, as well as open your connection to the Divine realms.
6.) After your meditation is complete, take your remaining three pieces of paper and write down three things you would like to call in – one on each paper. You can write whatever you like, but again, try to keep it simple.
7.) Now, look at the papers of the things you wish to release, and see how they may match up to the things you wish to call in. For example, if you wrote you wish to release blockages around your heart and call in love, then those two papers would match up. If you wrote, you wish to release insecurities and call in abundance, those two papers may go together. See if you can create a match between what you wish to release and what is on the other side of that release (what you wish to call in). This is a good practice to help you see what you need to release before you can call in the new.
8.) Once you have matched up the papers, fold them together. If you have been unable to match any papers, don’t worry just fold them too and place them on the altar. Now with your hand on your heart, recite the following –
“I know what I need to do, the answers are clear. The wisdom is inside me, I hold myself dear.”
9.) Now, rip the papers, sprinkling the shreds on your altar. Leave your altar this way overnight and then discard the papers in the morning.
