Nikki’s Weekly Tarot Reading: March 9-15, 2026

Weekly Tarot

The cards pictured are from Uusi’s ‘Pagan Otherworlds’ deck.

Knight of Cups and Five of Wands

The Knight of Cups is the fiery aspect of water, combining emotional depth with a strong sense of purpose. As he moves forward, his gaze is fixed on the cup before him, representing his aspirations and desires.

The Knight of Cups encourages us to examine how we spend our time and whether our actions align with our priorities. If we invest too much emotional energy in one area, it may hinder our ability to experience life more fully.

This card calls us to recognize that when we become too inwardly focused, we may overlook the richness of our surroundings. It urges us to expand our perspective and embrace the bigger picture.

What is currently occupying your mind? Is it preventing you from engaging with the larger world? What can you do to ease the hold of your feelings?

We are asked to examine what we are investing our time and feelings into. Through meditation, journaling, or talking with someone we trust, we need to see if we are allowing too much of one thing to call the shots in our lives.

The Knight of Cups wants us to open our eyes to all the possibilities. It’s okay if we veer off the path; letting go of control is good. Things don’t always look as expected.

This will help us step into our power because our need for control is usually rooted in fear or a lack of trust. We can set our intentions, but have faith that our path will unfold in all the ways it should.

The Five of Wands is a card that also helps us to understand how to create change in our lives. It encourages us to listen to our inner voice, including our feelings of negativity or resentment. We are called to explore what irritates, discomforts, or angers us.

This card asks us to focus on what tests our patience, particularly in our relationships. It encourages us to question these issues and consider alternative approaches.

Can we choose to spend more time with people who uplift us? Can we prioritize tasks that are meaningful to us? Is this the right environment for us? Is it possible to make some changes?

Through the Five of Wands, we slow down and investigate our world. We examine the things we do throughout our day and the feelings they evoke. We step out of autopilot and explore opportunities.

Through this awareness, we find we have the agency to create a better experience for ourselves. We are not just stuck with the way things are. We can create what our lives look like.

Maybe we need to establish more boundaries regarding what we share with others. To prevent conflict, we should spend more time listening and less time debating. Or perhaps we should delegate and say no to things we don’t want to do.

Embracing the energy of the Knight and the Wands Five of Wands, we approach each day with openness and implement even the smallest changes to nurture our joy. We will experience an intentional shift as we navigate the days ahead.

Mantra for the week: I let go of any hyperfixations and bring love and compassion to myself.
