Four of Cups and Four of Disks
This week we have a Gemini New Moon on June 17-18 and it may have us feeling a bit unsettled. Our cards are here to help ground and guide us as we navigate the days ahead.
The Four of Cups represents affection, pleasure, and sensory experiences. We are craving physical touch, movement, and feeling good in our bodies.
On our card, water is flowing freely from opulent gold goblets. Each cup is full while also filling the other cups. There is a balance of giving and receiving that is in perfect harmony.
Under the influence of the card, we are drawn to the water. Whether it’s the ocean, a lake, or even a bath, we want to be submerged in water. We also feel the desire to make our homes beautiful, eat delicious food, and spend time with those we love.
So many of us are blessed to have amazing friends and family. The Four of Cups calls us to take stock of all the good we have at this moment. It wants us to let the love already present wash over us.
When we count our blessings, we allow more blessings to enter our lives. When we focus on all we have, instead of our deficits, we attract more goodness.
Use this energy this week to be grateful for each person and each earthly luxury in your life. Thank them for their incredible support and tell them how much you care.
Our second card this week is the Four of Disks. It is all about creating and sustaining a solid and positive foundation. It asks us to take stock of what gives us strength and builds us up. And it wants us to remove and block anything that tears us down.
Our strength with this card comes from our greater connection to ourselves, our community, and the planet. It wants us to know we are bigger than just ourselves and the universe supports us deeply.
The card portrays a fortress that gives both security and power. The structure may not be tall but it is strong. The symbols on each of the four pillars are the elements: earth, air, fire, and water.
We often have people or situations in our lives that make us question ourselves and our power. When this happens we need to think of all the things that make us strong and take our strength back.
You can think about how far you have come and all the people in your life who love and support you. You can notice all the things you do each day to prioritize your mental and physical health. You can connect with your spiritual practice and your journey to your higher self.
No negative thought, comment, or experience can take away all the work you have put into building your foundation. Its presence is there and will not be knocked down by anxiety, negativity, or naysayers. The Four of Disks is the antidote to doubt and unsureness.
You are powerful, brave, and resilient. You have a base of positivity and love that you worked hard to cultivate.
We all encounter people or experiences that make us feel less than but the Four of Disks is here to remind us of our resiliency and strength. And with the Gemini New Moon, we will call in energy and relationships that serve our highest good.
Let the Four of Cups remind us to take time for pleasure and count our blessings. And let Four of Disks show us how to navigate our emotions and remind us of our power. We have everything we need to move forward with wisdom.
Mantra for the week: At my core, I am loved, capable, and strong. I am grateful for this moment.
