The Fool and 8 of Swords
Listen up little ones, we are brave, creative, powerful and fearless! And this week, The Fool is here to help us remember that.
This vibrant card depicts the mind of a child. It is beaming with energy, dreams, and not a ounce of jadedness. With this card there is a deep trust in life. He wants us to take risks and spread our wings.
The Fool card is the first card in Tarot and is either unnumbered or numbered zero. He is the initiator and the start of the path. All roads begin here.
So ask yourself: what new adventure do you want to embark on? What business do you want to start? Who do you want to open your heart to?
The Fool wants you to take that leap and give your whole self.
This card can bring up some fear because as we get older, we know pain, heartbreak and failure. These things make us afraid of leaping.
But The Fool has faith in the goodness of being and asks us to take down our walls. Remove your preconceptions and let yourself see clearly without fear.
This is not the easiest of tasks and The 8 of Swords (also called Interference) shows us that we have some mental blocks.
Our hearts may be saying yes but our mind is telling us to proceeds with caution or not proceed at all.
But do not listen! The message is clear and we need to take some risks in order to reap the rewards.
One of my favorite sayings comes from the Zen Buddhism tradition and states, “leap and the net will appear.”
How can you leap this week? How can you say no to your mind and yes to your heart? Where can you be a like a child and take risks without fear?
We all know where we have our walls up and what dreams we have ben deferring. But take at least one step towards your goals this week.
I would even recommend having an image of The Fool card somewhere in your space to help encourage your bravery. This will support you in your fearless actions.
Mantra for this week: “Taking risks opens up a world of possibilities! As I step out on to a new path, I have trust in the universe.”
