Prince of Wands and Queen of Cups
This weeks reading is all about balance.
The Prince of Wands rides a fiery chariot pulled by a focused lion. He is resourceful, fun and energetic. He is also a bit spontaneous. Always the life of the party, he goes after what he wants.
The Prince of Wands comes up to show us our youthful and powerful energy. How can we tap into this energy? How can we be more vibrant and spontaneous?
Take a risk this week and step out of your comfort zone. Do something that ignites your fire. Adding some rigorous exercise is a great way to aid in that energy flow.
But make sure not to push your self too hard. The Prince of Wands has the tendency to over do it and burn the candle at both ends.
That is why balance is so important. And the Queen of Cups is here to remind us all about self care.
The Queen of Cups is wrapped up in moonlight as she reflects on the waters edge. The many lotus blossoms surrounding her represent peace and protection.
This Queen is the ultimate nurturing mama. She brings her watery and soothing energy to help us feel calm and restored.
The Queen asks: how can you practice self care this week? What can you do to nurture your spirit?
Together, the Prince of Wands and the Queen of Cups are the perfect blend of pushing ourselves while still practicing self care.
Too much fiery energy and we get burned out. Too much water energy and we get complacent. Being stuck in either energy does not let us move forward to the next stage of life.
We need both the fire and water to be our best selves. However, the most important aspect of either of these cards is listening to ourselves!
Only we can know the right amount of fire or water at any given time. So listen to your inner voice and find the right balance for you.
Mantra for this week: “I push myself and I take care of myself. I have the perfect balance to keep me moving forward.”
