Queen of Swords and Prince of Disks
This week, we welcome a new month along with a Blood Moon Eclipse in Pisces on September 7. This is a significant moment that may bring challenges, but it also offers an opportunity for growth and the emergence of inner strength.
Our first card is the Queen of Swords. She is a warrior who has overcome obstacles through the force of her courage. She is always a standout because of her radical authenticity and honesty.
This Queen has cut through lies and found her truth. She has removed the armor that prevented her from connecting deeply with others. She understands that vulnerability is a strength and that experiences make you stronger.
She has let down her walls and allowed her true self to shine through. She can see the disguises of others and knows that things go deeper than what is on the outside.
Though the Queen is tough, she has compassion for herself and others. She shows us how to use our sharp tongues only when necessary and in the right circumstances.
The Queen helps us to think with clarity and see through any phoniness. She shows us how to go straight to the heart of a matter and be direct in our approach. We learn to share our truth so we can live a life aligned with our values.
The Queen of Swords is bringing us all her gifts this week. She is helping us to speak our minds and tap into our vulnerability. She wants us to take off our armor and share who we really are with others. She wants us to use our intelligence and honesty to achieve the life we want.
How can you embody the energy of the Queen of Swords this week? How can you be more direct and open in your interactions, even if that scares you? How can you connect to your authenticity?
If we want to step into our personal power and joy, we must learn to channel the beautiful energy of the Queen of Swords. We need to release our fear of vulnerability and speak our truth. The power of the Blood Moon in Pisces will support this as well.
Our second card, the Prince of Disks, embodies wisdom but also carries a sense of heaviness. It reflects the difficult times we have faced and the ongoing obstacles that continue to affect us. I can certainly relate to the feelings this card evokes.
We are not light and breezy when making decisions or taking steps forward. We have experienced deep pain and loss, and it informs our behavior.
The Prince of Disks sits on a cumbersome chariot pulled by a large but determined bull. At his back are boulders of varying sizes that press against his skin.
The boulders represent our past and the pain we have experienced. We cannot let go of the hard times behind us, so they sit as we carry them along our path.
Our past can weigh us down or serve as valuable experiences that lead to greater wisdom, strength, and compassion. Although it’s not easy, approaching these moments with this shift in perspective can offer us new insights.
This card reflects our personal and collective pains. While we have faced many challenges that feel burdensome, these experiences have ultimately helped us become more aware and fostered a deeper sense of love within ourselves and toward others.
We have developed a greater sense of empathy and awareness about life. We can now feel and observe things we couldn’t before. We know how to support people in ways that truly meet their needs. Additionally, we can more clearly recognize deceptive and corrupt actions.
The Prince of Disks is typically slow-moving and takes time to make decisions, allowing for deep consideration of their next step. The pains from their past have provided them with wisdom and insights.
With the Prince of Disks, we tend to make wiser choices. We learn from our past mistakes and prioritize our relationship with ourselves.
However, we can find ourselves in a pattern of indecision or overthinking. Our past experiences can make us overly critical, leading us to believe that inaction is the safest choice. It’s essential to be aware of any behaviors that might cause us to stall. Even if we need to take extra time, we must continue to make decisions.
Mantra for the week: Vulnerability is my strength, and obstacles are my teachers.
