The Capricorn Full Moon on June 27-28th carries some intense energy, but this is nothing to fear. In fact, it is something we need to embrace as we head into the second half of the year.
The tides are turning and the energy is shifting with the upcoming July Eclipses, but before we can enter into the new, we have to wrap up and shed the old.
This Full Moon will be helping us to bring closure to areas of our lives that we have been struggling with. Lessons we have been dealing with since the start of the year are ready to be shed, released, and transformed into something new.
Under the energy of this Capricorn Full Moon, we have to find our strength, and remember that we can accomplish anything. The Universe never sends us anything that we can’t handle, and the more we hold that close and work with whatever comes our way, the stronger and more awakened we will become.
This Full Moon Ritual is going to help you center your energy and find your strength. It is going to help you cleanse and bring a sense of gratitude into your life.
Capricorn Full Moon Ritual 2018
This ritual is best done from June 27- July 4, 2018
You will need:
- Smudging tool of choice
- Hot water
- Large teacup or bowl
- Pen and paper
- Mixed herbs to make an infused cleansing water (loose leaf herbal tea also works well)
Directions:
1.) Start by smudging (cleansing) your aura and surroundings. As always, start with your aura first and then move to your surroundings. For specific instructions, read this. As you cleanse, recite the following mantra or write your own-
“I have worked hard and now my time has come to shed and release. I have worked hard and now the time has come to honor myself and cleanse my body/this space that has held and supported me. I feel nourished and supported. I feel held and I know I am strong.”
2.) Let your intuition guide you to the herbs you work with, you can use dried or fresh. Lay your herbs out in front of you.
3.) As you heat your water, pick up one of the herbs you are using. Holding it in your hands, study it or close your eyes and “feel” into it. Think about what properties or healing the herb is going to offer you. There is no right or wrong, just use your intuition to guide you.
For example, you may pick up a sprig of basil. As you hold it in your hands you feel that it is going to help you find lightness and sense of humor. Or you pick up a bud of lavender, and you feel it is going to help you have psychic dreams. There is no right or wrong, it is whatever your intuition is telling you that you need to follow and listen to.
Once you have identified the healing property, use your pen and paper to write it down so you can come back to it later.
4.) Pour the hot water into the bowl or cup that you are using. Holding your hands around the side of the bowl, repeat the following-
“I am strong and confident in myself. I have been through so much and yet here I still stand. I am so grateful for my life and the opportunities that have been sent my way. I can handle everything and the right solutions are always presenting themselves to me. I now charge up this water with cleansing light and love. This water will help me to find my strength and feel gratitude for every day.”
5.) Now taking your first herb, add it to the water while stating its healing property out loud. For example- “I add rosemary for……” and so on, until all your herbs are used.
6.) Once all your herbs are in the water, gently swirl the water with your finger. If the water is too hot you can use a spoon. Recite the following or feel free to write your own-
“I am light. I am love. I am strong. I am confident. I ask my guardian angels to surround me with a healing white light. I ask that this loving healing energy moves through my body into this water. I ask for this water to cleanse away all my burdens, and replenish my soul. My heart is strong. My mind is clear. My heart is strong. My mind is clear.”
Take 3-5 deep breaths here and really allow your words to sink in. Feel free to recite them a few more times if you wish.
7.) Take a dap of water on your finger, and gently brush it over your third eye, heart center, or wherever else you feel you need it. Leave your water out overnight to charge under the Full Moon. If you can, place the water outside under the moonlight or inside by a window.
8.) In the morning, take your water and gently wash your hands or body with it. As you do, recite the following mantra or write your own-
“I feel so grateful and excited for the wonderful opportunities that await for me. I know my strength and I know there is nothing I cannot accomplish. I can do anything.”
9.) Discard the herbs in the garden or compost or feel free to rinse them off and use them again if they are still useable.
Happy Full Moon!
