Every year the universe gives us at least two lunar eclipses, in 2013 we had one on April 25th, May 25th and October 18th.
Lunar eclipses signify a time of great change and upheaval. Eclipses are designed to put us on the ‘right’ path whether we realise it or not.
Often around eclipse time things end abruptly, relationships, jobs, careers and friendships. Sometimes we are forced to move or we could even experience death of a loved one.
The energy of the eclipse circulates within 4 days either side of the eclipse so, four days before and four days after the eclipse things in your life may draw to an end or get a shake-up.
Sometimes, the effects of a lunar eclipse can also be seen exactly one month later so if an eclipse fell on October 18th, you may not see the effects till November 18th, plus or minus four days.
While this window seems big, eclipses bring about sudden change not to test or harm you, but to help you.
Eclipses put us on the path that we are meant to be on but sometimes we don’t realize that we are supposed to be on that path, so we resist the change and feel challenged.
Sometimes, we know that we are meant to make a change but we haven’t yet, sometimes the Universe intervenes and during an eclipse that decision may be made for you.
Depending on which area of your astrology chart the eclipse falls will determine how it may affect you. Sometimes the impact of an eclipse can be small, other times it can be monumental.
The important thing to remember is that eclipses are not scary. In fact, they really carry a blessing because they help us to realize what is that we want in our lives and put us in a position to make a positive change in our evolution.
Famous astrologer, Susan Miller says, “Eclipses shine the bright light of truth to the part of your life that is touched by the eclipse. Most of the time, eclipses act as brilliant illuminators, revealing a condition that you were unaware existed. They can also act as catalysts to a major life decision.”
To help you deal with eclipses, the best thing to do is to wait and watch the events that unfold. Sometimes you may be forced to make a hasty decision but if you can, sit back, enjoy the ride (as much as you can), wait for the energy to settle and watch the signs to help you make the next move.
