On February 19, the Sun reaches the zodiac sign of Pisces, the last stop on its journey before the astrological year begins. But, like with all new beginnings, we have to first release the old in order to make space for what’s to come.
Pisces Season is a time of introspection. It is a time to go within to reflect on the past and to acknowledge all you have been through. This is about celebrating our journey, accepting what’s come, and knowing that every day brings opportunities to make new and better choices.
It’s ok if you don’t like what the world has dished up to you in the past, but looking forward, how can you make the best of it? How can you take what you have been given and the circumstances of your life and find a way to make the most of it?
Our time here is limited and as we reach the last chapter of the Sun’s journey through the zodiac, we are being supported to make changes or at least bring awareness to all that we no longer wish to bring with us into this new cycle.
This idea of closing a cycle and starting a new one will be even more heightened in 2020, as just after Pisces Season ends, we have a huge planetary shift with Saturn moving signs.
Saturn is the Lord of Karma, so when it changes signs, it indicates the end of a deep karmic lesson we have all been working with for the last 2.5 years.
While Saturn doesn’t change signs until March 20th, which falls in Aries Season, we are going to feel the final of these karmic lessons coming to a head throughout Pisces Season.
Saturn may be a strict and heavy planet, but it always brings rewards when our work is done.
These rewards are on the way, so be on the look out, especially as we reach the end of February and experience the Pisces New Moon.
While New Moons are always times of new beginnings and new opportunities, we may find ourselves feeling like something new is on the horizon that we can’t quite put our finger on just yet. We may feel inspired to do something new, but may not have all the answers to make a decision just yet.
Mercury will also be Retrograde through most of Pisces Season, which will add to this feeling of indecision or confusion.
The best strategy here is to remain patient and to channel some of this energy into creative pursuits.
Mercury rules the mind and Pisces rules all things abstract, so this is a great time to take notes, doodle, or record your dreams, for they may just blossom or guide you at a later date.
While Pisces Season is a time of endings, there is also strong energy that supports our spiritual growth and development. As things are slowing down around us, it gives us more energy to focus on what is happening inside of us.
Use this energy to go within, to work on connecting to your higher self and your spiritual center. Use this energy to listen to your body and to give it what it needs.
A powerful exercise you can do is to place your hand over your heart and ask yourself- what is the most loving thing I can do for myself right now? Then go ahead and do whatever answer floats up into your consciousness.
Pisces Season 2020, also brings a rare series of alignments between Jupiter and Neptune called a sextile.
Jupiter and Neptune will sextile each other three times in 2020 which is what makes this special, but the first of these alignments happens on February 20th, just a few days after Pisces Season begins.
Neptune is the ruler of Pisces and helps us to connect to not just our individual soul but the soul of the Universe.
Neptune reminds us that we are all connected, and are all collectively co-creating on this journey.
As Neptune forms this alignment with abundant Jupiter it will spark awakenings and allow us to manifest and receive with greater ease.
As Pisces Season comes to an end it also brings the Virgo Full Moon on March 9th. This is a harmonious Full Moon that will continue the theme of releasing to welcome the new.
Overall, Pisces Season 2020 is a time for rest, patience, and for focusing on our inner being. It is a time to connect with our soul and to remember that we always have the power to rebirth by making new choices.
