The World and Queen of Swords
Both our cards this week speak to resting and reflecting. They call us to take time to celebrate how far we have come and to set aside space for decompression. We have been working so hard to make it through this past year and our cards show us how to recharge.
Our first card is the World. This is the last card in the major arcana and points to our growth after much intentional effort. This card wants us to feel proud and to honor our accomplishments.
The winged figure on The World card is naked standing on top of the Earth. She’s in a place of celebration and mastery. She is has gone through all the trials and tribulations of the Fool’s Journey and is now in her power.
To invite The World card into your life, offer her the gift of dancing, singing, or movement. Being in your body instead of your head is a great way to uplift this energy.
Even in dark times, turning on some music and allowing yourself to let go can be very healing. Close your eyes and don’t think about how you look. Let yourself feel present in the here and now.
Under the influence of The World, take a moment to acknowledge your accomplishments instead of thinking about where you need to go next. The work will always be there, but you deserve a moment of contemplation and release.
Spend time this week honoring yourself. Do something just for you that makes you feel good. Indulge in an activity that makes your body feel alive. This will help you recharge for what’s next on your path.
Our next card is the Queen of Swords, we have received this card two weeks in a row so the message is extra powerful. This card is known for helping us find our authenticity and honesty. The Queen is a warrior that has conquered her battle with courage and is showing us how to do the same.
The queen has cut through the lies and removed the armor that prevented her from connecting deeply. She understands that vulnerability is a strength and experience makes you stronger. She is hard to mess with because of all she has been through.
Since this is a Swords card, thinking and communicating with clarity is key. The Queen uses her sharp tongue when necessary but only in the right circumstances. And though she is tough, she has compassion for herself and others.
The Queen goes straight to the heart of matters and is direct with her approach. She speaks her truth so she can live her life aligned with her values. She has removed the walls that kept her safe and now allows the true version of herself to be front and center.
The Queen is able to see through the disguises of others and knows that things go deeper than what is on the outside. She knows what is important in life and lets all the rest slide off her back.
The Queen of Swords is bringing us all her gifts this week. She wants us to use our intelligence and honesty to get closer to the life we want. She is helping us to speak our minds and pushes us to be vulnerable. She wants us to take off our armor and rest in our authenticity.
It is a lot of work to keep up appearances and please the people around us. The Queen gives us permission to let that go and just be ourselves. We don’t have to please anyone but ourselves, and by doing so will be more loving to those around us.
How can you use the powerful energy of the Queen of Swords this week? Who do you need to share your truth with? How can you be more direct and open in your interactions? How can you be more boldly authentic? How can you relax and drop into your authenticity?
If we want to step into our personal power and joy, we will need to channel the beautiful energy of The World and the Queen of Swords. We need to release our fear of vulnerability and speak our personal truth. We need to celebrate our hard work and honor how far we have come.
Mantra for the week: I am full of confidence and pride for all I have accomplished. I honor my hard work by giving myself a break.
