Nikki’s Weekly Tarot Reading: December 9-15, 2019

weekly tarot reading

The cards pictured are from the Modern Witch Tarot.

Four of Wands and Two of Swords

There is a Full Moon this week in the sign of Gemini. This is a time of release and shifting our perspective. The cards are signaling us to pause and reflect under the energy of the Moon.

The Two of Swords is sometimes referred to as ‘Peace’ and speaks to a time of tranquility after tension or turmoil. The card points to us seeking higher ground to see things in a different light.

The figure on the card is holding two swords while her eyes are blindfolded. We are asked to take off any blindfolds that may impact our ability to see things clearly.

Have you been shutting off your emotions or avoiding things? Have you had your blinders on when it comes to a situation in your life?

The Two of Swords is about obstruction and avoidance. We are obstructing energy by blocking it. Perhaps by distractions or by our fear, we are stopping our emotions from giving us the messages they want to give us.

Even if the message is something unhelpful or untrue, we need to listen. When something feels heard, it can let go. If you listen to your emotions you can let them flow out of you.

It’s a more difficult task at first, but it brings you more peace to deal with things head on. If you are honest about what you are feeling, you can tend to it.

Try not to avoid or bottle up. Even if you can’t share with another person, try sharing with yourself. Write it down or say aloud what you’re feeling.

With this new energy, insights into how to solve issues we may be facing will come through clearly.

We will see how to move through the turmoil we currently find ourselves in. Whether it’s at work, a relationship, or with ourselves, we will see some light this week when we listen.

The Four of Wands is a card about gratitude for our communities. It is about seeing how much support we have and allowing this to fill us with pride and power.

The four wands on the card create a beautiful altar with an arch of flowers above. This altar is for a wedding or a spiritual ceremony. It is a place where we honor our community and publicly state how grateful we are for our loved ones.

This card asks us to think about the web of support in our lives. It wants us to share our feelings and celebrate those we love.

It wants us to really let in the feeling of being nurtured and belonging. These feelings give us superpowers.

If you have been dealing with fear and doubt or if you have been struggling with self-esteem, this card is here to remind you of your sacred community.

If you have been getting in your head or isolating yourself, this card is here to show you that you are not alone.

Write down all the members of your clan. Look at their pictures, call them up, share a meal with them. Remind yourself of how many people you have on your side. Honor them in some way this week and you will awaken a deep strength within.

Knowing how many people we have on our side will help us with the heaviness we might be carrying from the Two of Swords. If we are able, our community can be a great sounding board for what has been on our minds.

The Full Moon in Gemini will bring a release this week. We can finally let some things off our chest and we can connect deeply with others.

This is the last Full Moon of the year, so use this energy and the cards to let go and fill those new spaces with love.

Mantra for the Week: I remove blocks and allow my feelings to be heard. I reach out to my loved ones and cherish my community.
