The Sun and Six of Cups
The cards this week show a playful energy entering our world. Maybe we are feeling a boost from having zero major planets in retrograde. Maybe we are just ready to focus on our joy. Through the cards, we will take time to honor how far we have come and make time for pleasure.
Our first messenger this week is The Sun. This happy card depicts rays of light flowing into the Universe. Within these rays are all the signs of the Zodiac and the figures dance in the warmth. Innocence, fun, and inner child connection are all aspects of this card.
The Sun offers us deep healing, especially regarding our emotions. We feel drawn to reflect on the cycles of life, death, and rebirth. The card shows us the gifts of being present and embracing hope.
We are called to breathe deeply, spend time in nature, and ground ourselves in the here and now. We embrace our senses and immerse ourselves completely. The Sun card is guiding us to a path of loving our inner child and entering a place of safety, protection, and recovery.
In order to with this gorgeous card, it asks us to recall what brought us joy when we were young. What made you happy as a child? What were your favorite activities? How can you bring some of those simple joys back into your life?
Our next card this week is the Six of Cups. This card is all about enjoying the fruits of our labor. This card wants us to know that pleasure is our birthright and we deserve to feel joy.
The beautiful cups depicted are glowing brightly and the light they put off is golden and strong. There is warm and powerful energy radiating from this card.
We are craving touch and want to feel good in our bodies. We wish to fill our homes with flowers and we want to eat comforting food. We need the sun’s warmth on our faces and our feet in the grass.
This card also speaks to being in touch with your own sensuality. It asks us to be connected to our personal sensuality first so we can then share it with others in a deeper way.
Spend time this week listening to your body and to your desires. If you have a romantic partner, share those desires with them. Open yourself up and connect to what feels pleasurable to you.
If you have blocks around feeling pleasure or thinking you deserve it at all, examine those beliefs this week. Question why you may not make room for pleasure in your life and see if you can change that. Because remember, pleasure is your birthright.
This week, spend time honoring yourself. Do something that makes you feel restored. Indulge in an activity that makes your body feel alive. Investing in yourself will help you recharge for what’s next on your path.
Mantra for the week: I deserve to feel good in my body and my spirit. I close my eyes and invite in warmth, pleasure, and playfulness.
