9 of Swords and Knight of Swords
Hi little honeys. Let’s talk about the way we talk to ourselves.
Do you wake up every morning saying how grateful you are to be alive? Do you look in the mirror and see how beautiful you are? Do you appreciate all your talents and accept all your flaws?
Or are you more likely to wake up and see the things that are going wrong? Look in the mirror and see what you don’t like about yourself? And generally see yourself from a ‘deficit’ point of view?
Well, it’s time to stop.
The 9 of Swords sees you have been cruel and wants you to cease this pattern. It is not solving any problems or making situations any better.
When this card comes up, you must look to yourself and really see the nature of your thoughts. Watch them, observe them and take note of their tone.
It is a warning to the harshness of our own words and actions to ourselves and sometimes even to others. We need to be very aware of our behavior and stop it now.
It is one of the darker cards in all of tarot and brings an intense message. So thankfully, the 9 of Swords brought along a remedy that will help us this week, The Knight of Swords.
The Knight of Swords brings light, swift energy that opens our mind and allows us to see clearly.
Often our cruel thinking is false thinking. We bring dark clouds where they need not to be. The Knight of Swords allows us to see more objectively, without our own negativity or past pains blocking the view.
It also allows us to accomplish tasks we have been putting off. These are unfinished errands that have been making us stressed and adding to our negative thoughts.
The elements of fire and air in this card give us a quick and powerful boost to get things done! It will even help you find solutions to problems that have felt too tricky or complicated.
Seeing clearly and accomplishing our to-do lists will really add to a more positive view of ourselves. Sometimes just a clean house and an organized inbox can do the trick to adjust your mood.
Please make use of this energy this week and get those tasks done. Use it to think through some pesky problems as well. And some unexpected answers will come through this week, lightening your load.
I really recommend Tanaaz’s post on self-love as remedy to the 9 of Swords as well. This is the perfect way to directly face your cruel self-talk and change your vibes.
Mantra for this week: I love myself. I am getting shit done and solving problems. I am freakin’ awesome!
