The Knight of Pentacles and The Ace of Wands
This week we have two cards that share their energy of strategy and passion. One card calls for us to reflect and think clearly, the other pushes us to connect to our spirit. They both are calling for us to lead a more purpose-driven life.
The Knight of Pentacles is a special card because knights are usually galloping through the land or flying through the air, but this Knight has stopped to contemplate.
That is exactly what we are being asked to do this week. We need to take time to think through our actions and see if they are in line with what we want. We should not be moving at lightning speed or rushing into any decisions.
Pentacles are all about the natural world, so they call us to use nature as our muse as we connect with our thoughts. Can we spend time resting in a beautiful space this week? Can we intentionally go into nature to ponder our next steps?
This card tells us it is essential for us to recharge in order to continue on our journey. If we don’t, we might burn out and need an even bigger break later on.
The Knight is contemplating his path and taking time to reassess. He wants to make sure he is making the right choices and serving his highest self. This time to contemplate fills him with confidence because he is able to reconnect to his inner voice.
When we are constantly on the go, we don’t have time to make sure we are doing what is best for ourselves, instead, we are just on autopilot. We are being asked to take time to think about our next move and listen to our hearts.
Our next card is the Ace of Wands. It is all about the generosity of spirit and connecting to what makes us feel alive. It is an Ace Card, so it has the potency of all the Wands cards in one.
Wands are about passion, fire, and spirituality. They call us to do what makes us feel energized and purposeful. They call us to be our best selves.
This card allows us to connect with the light inside of our hearts and see the light in those around us. We are able to connect to our true essence, the part that animates us and perhaps lives beyond our physical form.
This card asks us to see the best in everyone, even when our mind is thinking the worst. Remember that when we are going through the heaviest of times, others are carrying burdens as well.
Give yourself that grace too. We are all doing the best we can at any given moment. The softer we can be, the lighter we will feel, and the more our light can shine.
Use the Ace of Wands to amplify your kindness of spirit and to connect to your purpose. The fire of Wands lets us connect to our true calling in life. It lights the way to our personal path.
