Nikki’s Weekly Tarot Reading: October 13-19, 2025

Weekly Tarot

The cards pictured are from the ‘Rosa Obscura’ deck by Orla Bird.

Queen of Pentacles and Five of Swords

The Queen of Disks is a card connected to our strong female ancestors who want to support us. In times of struggle, the Queen of Disks often appears. She lets us know the true power of our presence.

I believe this Queen is speaking to us individually and the world. She is here to remind us of our collective power.

This fierce Queen surveys her land with her crown. She has come far and is taking time to look back at all she has accomplished. She reminds us to do the same.

Underestimating our ability to handle what lies ahead and overestimating how challenging it will be is where our fear lives. The Queen reminds us that we can tackle anything we are faced with and always have. The next thing we face will be no different.

The Queen of Disks is an earth card that brings a grounding force. She helps us connect to our core and plant our feet securely on the ground. I need that energy right now, and I’m sure many of us do.

This card is also the ‘queen’ of boundaries. She helps us say no to things that bring us down and say goodbye to people who drain us. We are too competent and experienced to allow our energy to be harmed.

We have overcome challenges and let go of people who did not serve our highest good. We no longer accept toxic behavior from others.

Like the Queen, we are growing older, but instead of being bitter or jaded, we are becoming wiser and more confident. We know what we are capable of and are proud of the person we are becoming.

The passage of time has given us strength and intelligence. We are grateful for our past because it has made us who we are. We are also excited about our future because we will use our wisdom to accomplish great things.

By making decisions that raise our vibrations and propel us forward, we are walking the path of the Queen of Disks. Her comfort and power will guide us to our next evolution through compassion and wisdom.

The next card, the Five of Swords, offers valuable insights and lessons. This card encourages us to explore our shadow side and confront brutal truths. While no one enjoys the feeling of defeat, it is a natural part of life.

On this card are five swords, with one pointed at the figure. The significance of this formation is to show that we are the ones who amplify or disarm our defeat. We control how it affects us, what we learn from it, and how we move forward.

The card of Defeat points to our tendency to view our failures as personal flaws instead of recognizing them as natural occurrences. It highlights how we often limit ourselves to avoid pain, rather than concentrating on the situations that lead to disappointment.

We are being asked to shift our perspective and see our lives non-judgmentally. In this light, our setbacks and disappointments exist without a story. When we detach from the negative meaning, we experience a deep sense of relief.

Some questions to consider: How can we change our perspective on defeat? How can we begin to view defeats as a natural part of life? How can we continue to take risks while also granting ourselves compassion?

Disappointments, bad habits, and failures are our greatest teachers. They reveal our strength and teach us what we can do differently next time. We are called to engage in this transformative work.

Mantra for the week: I draw strength from the earth and those who have come before me. I view any setbacks without judgment.
