May 7th brings the third and last Super Full Moon of the year.
Falling in the sign of Scorpio, the bright Moon will help to illuminate things for us, bringing a sense of closure and deeper understanding.
While the Super Full Moon may be intense and highly detoxifying, it also carries a sweetness too, and reminds us to find the beauty and gratitude in the path we have walked so far.
Under this sensitive Scorpio Moon, we may also find our psychic and intuitive senses heightened.
To work with this Full Moon energy, I wanted to give you a few options.
If you are feeling the need for something soothing, calming, and restorative, or if you need support clearing energy blocks I recommend just doing my 7 Ray Guided Meditation. Do this just before going to bed.
If however, you want something a little more active, here is ritual to guide you:
(Feel free to do both too! You can do the meditation one night, and the ritual the next.)
Scorpio Magic Moon Ritual
Best done between May 5- May 18, 2020
You will need:
- Cleansing tool of choice (sage sticks, wands, bells, etc.)
- Small Candle (tealight or votive works best)
- Matches/Lighter
- Bowl or plate
- Cup of ice
- Pen and Paper
- Pinch of sea salt
- Scorpio Full Moon Reading (optional)
Directions:
1.) Start with cleansing your aura and surroundings using your cleansing tool of choice. As you cleanse your aura, feel free to recite the following –
“I cleanse myself with light and loving energy. From the top of my head to the bottom of my toes I radiate peace, love, and joy. I a cleansed. I am recharged. My aura glows.”
Next, cleanse your surroundings as well as your ritual ingredients-
“I cleanse this space with light and loving energy. I now cast a protective field around this room. Only love may enter, only that which is aligned with my highest good is now welcome in this space. My space is cleansed, these ingredients are cleansed, thank you, thank you, thank you.”
2.) Take your pen and paper and write:
“I ask the spirits of water and ice to help me release and let go of all that no longer serves me tonight. I ask to release…”
Write down whatever it is that you would like to release on the paper. Write as much or as little as you like. You can also add more sheets of paper if needed. Once you are done, fold up the paper and place it into your bowl.
3.) Now, holding your cup of ice in both hands, recite the following-
“I charge this water and ice with the power of love, gratitude, and healing. I ask that as this ice melts, whatever is no longer needed for my highest good gently and softly melts away too. Thank you.”
After reciting, pour the ice over your piece of paper that is on the plate or bowl.
4.) Now take your candle, and place it in the middle of your plate or bowl with the ice surrounding it. Light your candle. Pause for a moment and just sit with your breath, watching the candle flame and your ice start to slowly melt. Do this for 20-30 breaths.
5.) Now take your salt and prepare to sprinkle it over the ice. This is going to help with the release. As you sprinkle the salt, recite the following –
“I am lighter, I am free, I am open to whatever the Divine has in store for me. I trust myself, I trust my path. I trust that all is well, even when times are dark. I honor the Sun, I honor the Moon, may they guide me as I sing my own tune. I welcome joy, I welcome love, I welcome peace. My heart is full, my heart is strong, thank you, thank you, thank you.”
6.) Leave the ice to melt for a few hours. While the ice is melting, you can do your Scorpio Full Moon Reading.
7.) Once all the ice has melted, remove the paper, squeeze out the excess water and mush or rip up the papers. Bury them in the soil or discard it in the recycling.
Let the candle finish burning, but please don’t leave your candle burning unattended. If you need, you can snuff it out and relight it again in the morning.
Happy Full Moon!
