Nessus, the asteroid of ancestral healing is very active under this September New Moon and is the inspiration for this ritual.

This ritual will guide you to heal and soothe your inner child, it will also provide you with feelings of support and comfort no matter what is unfolding for you.

Virgo New Moon Ritual for Healing your Inner-Child

This ritual is best done before bed between September 1-15, 2021 but feel free to adjust to suit your needs.

You will need:

  • Aura cleansing tool of choice (ie. herb sticks, incense, bells, etc.)
  • Dream Oracle Meditation 
  • Pen and Paper 
  • Candle
  • Cup of Herbal Tea (ready to drink)

Directions:

1.) Start by cleansing your aura and surroundings using your tool of choice. As you cleanse your aura recite the following-

“Every day I love myself just a little more. Every day I work to release and let go of my stresses and anxieties. Today, I support my body by cleansing and releasing all that blocks me, all that triggers me, all that keeps me in fear. I feel light, I feel open. I know I am love. My energy is protected and clear. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.”

Next, cleanse your surroundings. As you cleanse your surroundings, recite the following-

“I use the power of love and light to cleanse and protect this space. This space is a magnet for joy and attractor of all that is good. My space is cleansed, my space is protected. Thank you, thank you, thank you.”

2.) Light your candle, just to set the mood, and sit somewhere comfortable with your journal and pen. Select from one of the following journal exercises- 

Option #1: Think of a traumatic or life-changing event that happened when you were younger. Write a letter to your younger self just after this traumatic or life-changing event occurred. What would you have wanted your younger self to know? What would you have wanted your younger self to hear at that moment?

Option #2: Identify something you feared as a child. How did that fear make you feel? Where do you think the fear came from? Write it all down. Now, think about how those feelings continue to manifest or show up today in your life. Aim to come up with at least 3-5 examples. Note down any insights or ah-ha moments. 

3.) After you have completed the journal exercise, allow yourself time to process or digest what has come up while you sip on your tea. 

4.) When you have just a few sips of tea left, hold your mug in both hands and recite the following – 

“I ask to connect with my Higher Self, my ancestors, my angels, and my spirit guides to receive healing of my inner child. May my inner child feel loved. May my present self feel loved, supported, and held. I ask for support in gently healing, and releasing any generational cycles from my life that no longer serve my highest good. May this healing flow my way in all the ways that I am ready for it to. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.”

Then take the final sips of your tea. And snuff out your candle.

5.) Get nice and comfortable, preferably in bed ready to sleep, and listen to your Dream Oracle Meditation. This meditation will help to soothe any anxieties or heavy emotions that may have come up so you can welcome the healing energy and enjoy a deep and blissful night of rest. It is perfectly ok if you fall asleep during the meditation.

Your ritual is complete! Feel free to reflect on any thoughts and feelings that came up through this inner child work. As inner-child work can be intense, it may also be beneficial to talk it through with a professional therapist or healer.
