Nikki’s Weekly Tarot Reading: June 16-22, 2025

Weekly Tarot

The cards pictured are from the Crowley Thoth Tarot Deck.

The Princess of Cups and Eight of Cups

Cancer Season begins on the June 20 Solstice, and is an opportunity to connect with nature’s healing energies. We welcome these energies and are guided by our cards on how best to tap into their power.

The Solstice is the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere, on which we celebrate the light, and the shortest day in the Southern Hemisphere, on which we honor the darkness. Our relationship with the light or darkness helps to guide us through the second half of 2025.

Our cards urge us to tap into the potent vibrations and show us how to unlock the moment’s potential. They highlight the need for nourishment, centering, and reflection in the days ahead.

Our first card is the Princess of Cups. She is gliding in the water surrounded by highly intuitive and creative creatures. They are our totems as we dive into these energies.

We are craving a more nurturing and creative experience with ourselves. We feel protective of our peace and want to nourish this energy in any way possible. If there is a space or activity where we feel calm and relaxed, we will feel especially drawn there. We will look for ways to incorporate peaceful practices into our routines as much as possible.

In a restorative place, we can think clearly about what we wish for the most. We envision a future that reflects what’s in our hearts and perhaps the future we were drawn to as young people. We are finding clarity on how to move forward intentionally.

The Princess of Cups is a dreamer. She thinks deeply about what she wants for herself and the world. She doesn’t restrict her heart and envisions the life she desires, even if it seems unrealistic to others.

She represents the earthy part of water, where dreams become real. She supports you with action steps and concrete plans. She wants you to move from fantasizing about what you want to making it a reality.

Physical movement, creative practices, and calming activities will feel right this week. Our nervous system craves release and grounding; we should honor this desire.

The next card is the Eight of Cups. This card often signifies a sense of stagnation. We may feel that our positive energy is depleted, and our motivation is diminished.

The empty glasses on the card represent our feelings of exhaustion and boredom. The stormy clouds in the background speak to our concern that it will always be like this. It can be hard to see the light through the dark.

The Eight of Cups should be seen as a source of valuable insights rather than something to fear. It reminds you to avoid harsh self-judgment and not to dwell on negativity. Instead, accept things as they are and show compassion to yourself.

The Eight of Cups challenges us to shift our way of thinking. It wants us to stop focusing on the finish line and where we want to be. Instead, it asks us to be present for our journey and where we are now. It wants us to be curious about ourselves and enjoy the lovely experiences along the way.

There is so much waiting for us on the other side of the clouds. Once we overcome the storm, a new way of life will emerge. It may be a place where we become more connected to our community, foster creativity, and recognize what is truly important.

To reach your destination, you need to set aside distractions and begin your journey. There will undoubtedly be challenges along the way, and change can often be messy. However, by letting go of the past and committing to personal growth, we can connect with what truly matters.

How can you embrace the energy of the Eight of Cups this week? How can you let go of the desire for perfection? What steps can you take to choose a more present and authentic path? Lastly, how can you learn to appreciate the beautiful moments along the way?

Under the Solstice energy, we are inspired to embrace new paths and foster positive growth as we embark on a journey to discover our true selves.

Mantra for the week: I center myself in peace and cherish the small, beautiful moments of each day.
