August is a big month with two power eclipses, the first of which is a Total New Moon Solar Eclipse in Leo on August 12, followed by a Partial Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Pisces on August 28.
The Solar Eclipse is really going to be the star of the show and indicates a new road opening for us all. We are unlocking a new pathway we are destined to walk over the next 18 months, and it is bright! Any changes or transformations that occur – not just on this Eclipse date but at any point through the month- are all going to be clues as to what this new road will be opening for us. Expect new beginnings, twists and turns, and fresh inspiration this month.
The Pisces Lunar Eclipse is a bit more somber and will trigger issues that were brewing during the Blood Moon Eclipse we experienced on March 3rd. It seems that more of the story will be revealed; however, we still have one more Eclipse to finish out the Pisces-Virgo series, so expect one final closing chapter to arrive in February 2027. It will be at this point that we can close the door for good on whatever karmic themes and lessons this Eclipse series was bringing our way.
Mercury is another planet to watch this month as it moves us towards deeper clarity. It seems we have some wonderful energies this month for writing, expressing, presenting, and publishing. If these are areas you wish to explore, August will be your month.
We can also use this favorable Mercury energy to clarify what we truly want for ourselves and how we wish to communicate with the world around us. We may find ourselves unlocking a new communication style or getting to the root of deep-seated issues that have been troubling us. Practices like journaling, paying attention to our dreams, and observing how we speak to ourselves and others are all great ways to work with this energy.
Chiron also stations retrograde this month, adding to the lineup of retrograde energy in our cosmic skies. Once we move into Virgo Season on August 22, the strength of the retrograde energy coupled with the grounding energy from Virgo will help us to wrap up what is already on our plate, tie up loose ends, and perhaps even start putting plans into place for the end of the year.
By the end of the month, we may start to see the storyboard of how 2026 will close for us, what needs to get done, and what needs to be paused.
Of course, we also can’t forget to mention Lion’s Gate, which takes place on the auspicious 8/8. Lion’s Gate is a powerful, high vibrational star gate that celebrates the rising of Sirius, our Spiritual Sun. While Lion’s Gate does get all the attention, there is another Star gate this month too, and that is the Regulus Gateway on August 22, another high vibrational 5-star day for opening our hearts, connecting our crown, and bringing in abundance. While Lion’s Gate does get all the attention, perhaps turn your attention this year to the Regulus Gateway instead; in my humble opinion, it is perhaps even stronger and more powerful for manifestations and divine connection- but you be the judge!

August 3: Chiron Retrograde
Chiron entered Taurus on June 19, now it is heading in retrograde motion, traveling back through degrees of the zodiac it has already visited. Chiron does this so we can really hone in on the lessons it has been trying to instill in our lives. Chiron is known as the wounded healer, and rules over deep core wounds. Abandonment is one of the major wounds often triggered by Chiron transits, highlighting where we feel unloved, discarded, and not enough. Chiron will travel back through the first few degrees of Taurus before making its way back into Aries on September 17. Once Chiron reaches Aries, any healings we have been working through since April 2018 will finally reach a turning point into deeper awareness and understanding. We may even find ourselves helping and guiding others through a similar experience.
August 4: Mars Opposite Black Moon Lilith
A fiery day that is going to help stir the waters of the upcoming eclipses. Pay attention to where and how we feel triggered on this day, as it may just hold clues for what’s to come later in the month. Any simmering anger or frustration is a sign to look within and pay attention to what is really bubbling beneath the surface.
August 6: Venus in Libra
Venus enters Libra, offering a beautiful, calming force that we can attune to. Spend time in beauty, enrich your senses, and practice some self-care. Venus in Libra is also a great alignment for beautifying our spaces and bringing more balance and harmony into our lives. It is also a positive omen for relationships.
August 8: Lion’s Gate Portal
The Lion’s Gate Portal activates at the end of July, as Sirius is reborn and rises once again in our sky. The rising of Sirius has been associated with the rising of consciousness. Sirius is known as our Spiritual Sun and has been revered by many ancient cultures. On the 8th day of the 8th month, we celebrate the rising of Sirius along with the potent infinity number code of 88 to help lock in the high vibrational energies of Sirius into our being. August 9: Mercury in Leo
Mercury moves into Leo, unlocking a new wave of confidence to speak up and share how we really think and feel. Mercury moving into Leo will bring new clarity and allow us to see things without the cloud of emotions we may have experienced when Mercury was in Cancer.
August 10: Venus Opposite Neptune
Another beautiful heart-activated day for the month! Venus in Libra will oppose Neptune in Aries, helping to bring balance and understanding into our lives. Relationship dynamics may feel clearer, or we may start to grow in awareness of how we are playing into patterns that are no longer serving us. We may be confronted with some harsh truths about how we have been contributing to negative cycles, but observing rather than shaming will be key.
August 11: Mars in Cancer
Mars moves into watery Cancer, slowing our motivation and prompting us to look within. Mars is the fiery planet, but in Cancer it will experience a cool down. We may find we become distracted from achieving our goals, but this is not necessarily a bad thing. Instead, we can use this time to get clear on our emotions and how they may be guiding our motivation. Are we in it for the right reasons, or are we chasing something that no longer deserves our time and attention?
August 12: Solar Eclipse in Leo
We welcome a beautiful and incredibly powerful Solar eclipse in Leo! This Eclipse opens a new doorway that we will get to move down over the next 18 months. It is a powerful road-opener for us, so use the day’s energies to set your intentions and think about what you wish to call into your life. While Eclipses are powerful times in our year for calling things in, we have to manifest with an open heart so we don’t block the flow or the gifts that the Universe might have for us too. As this Eclipse falls in Leo, there are extra heart activations to be had on this day. Allow the Solar Eclipse energies to open your heart and to remove blocks and barriers that are keeping you stuck. Try to move into a place of feeling, rather than getting caught up in your head. Eclipses are also very karmic events, so pay attention to what transpires not just today, but throughout the month. If big changes arise, trust that they are part of the journey.
August 15: Mercury Conjunct Jupiter
A fantastic day for speaking, journaling, and putting our story out there. If you have something you wish to publish or present, today would be a fantastic day to execute it! We can also use this powerful energy to journal. Any efforts to speak our truth will be amplified, and we will gain a better, deeper understanding of how we really feel.
August 21: Venus Opposite Saturn
Venus in Libra will align opposite Saturn in Aries, bringing some challenges to our relationships. But this is not all bad news; in fact, this alignment will help us step up and take responsibility for dynamics we are no longer willing to tolerate. If things are flowing in a positive direction, Saturn’s presence will help us deepen our relationship bonds and forge stronger commitment. If things are not flowing so well, Saturn’s presence will be reminding us to set boundaries.
August 22: Regulus Gateway
An incredibly powerful and abundant day! The Regulus Gateway is marked by the Sun aligning with the fixed star, Regulus. This star is known as the Heart of the Lion and is a powerful activator of the heart and crown chakras. It is connected to spiritual realms and helps us to unlock higher wisdom, abundance, and love. August 22/23: Sun in Virgo
We move out of fiery Leo into earth sign, Virgo. Our attention shifts to a more grounded, methodical approach. We may feel the desire to get organized, to hone in on our routines, and to start preparing for the end of the year. Virgo is represented by the Virgin Goddess, who reminds us that our true connection with God/Divinity/Source comes from within. We are the temple, and it’s time we started treating ourselves as such.
August 25: Mercury in Virgo
Mercury shifts into Virgo, its ruling sign and one of its favorite places to be! Mercury in Virgo helps us to articulate clearly and allows the words to flow! Practices like journaling, writing, speaking, podcasting, etc., are all favored by this energy.
August 27: Mercury Cazimi
Another power day for Mercury occurs today as it aligns with the Sun. Mercury and the Sun coming together represent a rebirth of Mercury and of our throat chakra, and of how we choose to communicate and express who we are to the world. Pay attention to these areas today and see how you can reinvent your communication style. We may also receive a wave of clarity on this day, so if you are looking for answers, definitely ask those questions!
August 28: Pisces Lunar Eclipse
We wrap up the month with a partial Lunar Eclipse in Pisces. This is the penultimate Eclipse in the Pisces-Virgo series, and will help to stir some deep endings and closing of a chapter that began back in 2024. This Eclipse is also connected to the Blood Moon Eclipse we experienced earlier on March 3rd of this year. Issues from that time are likely to come back around for resolution and clearing. While this Eclipse will not feel as intense as the one we experienced in March, it seems that more of the story will be revealed. As this Eclipse falls in the sign of Pisces, we may be feeling extra sensitive and intuitive to the energies around us. Spending time in or near the water, being in our creativity, and being extra gentle with ourselves are all ways to help balance some of the jolting energies of this Eclipse.
