Aquarius season 2021 brings some of the most powerful astrology of the year. Under the Aquarian Sun, we are being shaken so we can awaken, inspire change, and shift the way we have been choosing to see the world.
There is often a certain level of chaos that comes before real, meaningful change, and this is what we may start to see taking shape as we navigate through the season of the water bearer.
The water bearer, which is the symbol for the air sign of Aquarius, represents our ability to raise the vibration of the collective consciousness (water) using our connection to the breath.
Working with the breath can be so incredibly powerful. It can bring us into the present moment, it can soothe our heart, tame mental chatter, and it can even help us to soften into pain and discomfort.
Just like the water bearer, we too have the power to take our consciousness, gather it in our vessel, and use the power of our breath to shift and transmute it, not just for ourselves, but for the entire planet.
Aquarius is also a very community-driven sign, and turning to our community is going to be key during this season. We need not walk alone.
While it has been harder to maintain a sense of community this last year, this is a good opportunity to see how we can find creative and innovative ways to create a sense of community with what we have available to us.
Know you are not alone. And know through all of these shifts and potentially volatile energies, we are stepping into a truer and fuller power.
Aquarius Season 2021 will have its moments of intensity, but it is from this that we will be able to give rise to a better, fairer, and more just world for all.
Here are the key dates for Aquarius Season –
January 19/20: Aquarius Season Begins
Aquarius Season begins on the 19th or 20th depending on your timezone. For the coming weeks, focus on creating a sense of community. You can also use this energy to think outside the box, to innovate, and to try new things.
January 20: Mars Conjunct Uranus
The energy of Mars mixing with Uranus can be a trigger for already tense or hostile situations. Mars can be fiery and Uranus can be erratic, so this combination can be turbulent. On higher levels, when these two cosmic energies connect we can feel more confident to try new things, innovate, and think outside the box.
January 22: Mars Square Jupiter
The turbulent energy of the last few days may be amplified by Jupiter. On higher levels however, this combination of energy can help us to find our confidence to push past some fears that have left us feeling stuck or playing small. Remember, you are stronger than your fears.
January 28: Full Moon Leo + Sun Conjunct Jupiter
There are so many different layers of energy unfolding around this Leo Full Moon, and the energy feels a little erratic. It seems like a culmination of all the volatile energies we have been working with will come to a head for clearing. While there may be heightened energies at this time, look for the silver lining. The Sun conjunct Jupiter is traditionally a positive omen and a time to expand our mindset and our way of looking at things. It gives us the gift of seeing the bigger picture.
January 30: Mercury Retrograde
The first Mercury Retrograde of the year occurs in the sign of Aquarius. We may notice themes resurfacing from the last Mercury Retrograde that took place back at the start of November 2020.
February 2: 22 Numerology
The second day of the second month gives us the vibration of 22. As this is a number 5 year, we also have the vibration of 9 on offer to us today too. 22 is a master number in numerology that indicates support, growth, and the ability to keep building upon our dreams and goals. It is a power day for bringing our soul gifts and purpose to the world. In numerology, the number 9 is associated with endings and closure. It seems that we may be called to leave the old behind, and build upon a new layer of our soul journey.
February 6: Venus Square Uranus
With Mercury in Retrograde and Venus in a square alignment with Uranus, we may find old love wounds resurface or even a past relationship comes back into our lives in some way. You may learn some new information about a relationship, or perhaps just reach a deeper level of closure.
February 8: Sun conjunct Mercury Retrograde
This is a key point in the Mercury Retrograde cycle. Mercury is the messenger of the gods, so pay attention to any divine messages or signs from the Universe at this time. If you are experiencing delays, miscommunications, or even mental fogginess, know this is your sign to take it slow and to pause before making any big decisions.
February 11: New Moon in Aquarius/Chinese New Year
We have strong Aquarian energy circulating at the time of this New Moon. In fact, there will be a string of cosmic bodies all lined up in Aquarius including Jupiter, Saturn, the Sun, Moon, Mercury, and Venus. With this strong Aquarian energy on offer, we are really getting a taste of the “Age of Aquarius” themes that are slowly being integrated into our reality more and more. This New Moon also holds the energy of change, and may bring some unsettling news, however whatever comes our way, gives us the opportunity to think differently and to try and see the world from a new perspective.
According to the Chinese zodiac we enter the year of the Ox. The year of the Ox is about slow, steady, hardworking, and honest progress. It is a year that indicates nourishment and harvest.
February 17: Saturn Square Uranus
This is a major cosmic event for 2021. Saturn Square Uranus will happen three times this year, and this is the first. This is a rare alignment and indicates rebellion and change to the way we govern and run our society. It can bring combative energy or manifest as a push-pull between establishment and anti-establishment. While it can indicate unrest, it also indicates that much-needed changes now have the possibility to be made. Things may shake, but through this shaking, we can see what is weak and what needs to crumble, and what is strong and can stand the test of time. All that is weak will fall away and can be rebuilt into something better and stronger.
February 18/19: Sun in Pisces
The last season of the zodiac cycle begins on the 18th or 19th depending on your timezone.
