Pluto the Lord of the Underworld, enters retrograde on April 27, 2021, creating a shift in our cosmic skies.
For the last two months, we have had zero major planets in retrograde, creating a strong forward-moving momentum. With Pluto now entering retrograde, this spell will now be broken, and we will feel a subtle pull back.
While we can definitely still progress forward, there will be a current reminding us to reflect on the past and to digest what has already transpired.
Rather than leaping into the new with curiosity or uncertainty, there is a greater pull to use the wisdom and knowledge of our past to guide us.
Pluto’s retrogrades are always subtle, but this energy will be encouraging us to look back over the events that have transpired in our lives since October 2020.
How have we changed? How have we grown? How have the decisions we have made since then manifested?
If you cast your mind back to October 2020, you may find that whatever has fallen away from your life since that time is now ready for a rebirth. This can be on both an external or an internal level, and in big or small ways.
Decisions made at this time may have also begun to transform and shift the direction of your life and even your beliefs.
The events we have all been through as a collective since October 2020, have also most definitely changed us and our approach to life.
Our values may have shifted, or maybe we are starting to recognize that certain ways of life just no longer serve us.
Perhaps it is only now that we are starting to realize how we need to use the wisdom we have acquired to start progressing forward.
How have you changed since October of last year? Who are you today? Who are you becoming?
Pluto is the planet of death and rebirth. It represents the transformative process of the phoenix rising from the ashes or a caterpillar turning into a butterfly.
We all go through our own process of metamorphosis on this earthly journey, but sometimes it is not quite clear when we are transitioning from one state to the next.
Just like the caterpillar, we have to retreat into the dark unknowns of the cocoon. Just like the fire that creates the ashes, sometimes things have to burn.
Transformation is hard, but just as the sun sets and rises each day, there are always new opportunities, new paths, and new horizons to explore.
Nothing is ever lost, for whatever falls away is eventually re-birthed.
As Pluto travels retrograde, it will backtrack from 26 degrees of Capricorn to 24 degrees of Capricorn. As you can see, Pluto moves incredibly slowly but these degrees of Capricorn are considered highly spiritual and represent learning how to find the Divine even in the most mundane parts of our existence.
Pluto in Capricorn shines a light on big business, banking, and top-down power, but as it reaches these final degrees of Capricorn, there is a new element introduced of learning to honor the spiritual and find a deeper meaning in our existence and journey through life.
Pluto will turn direct again on October 6th, 2021.
