Blood Moon Eclipses are Total Full Moon Lunar Eclipses. They get the name “Blood Moon” as during a Total Lunar Eclipse, the Moon turns a reddish color. Blood Moon Eclipses generally take place in a pattern of threes, and the first of this trio falls in Virgo on March 14th, with the subsequent Blood Moon Eclipses following on September 7th and March 3, 2026.
These three Blood Moon Eclipses will tell a story, a story that usually involves some sort of shedding and release. Blood Moons tend to strip away all that is unnecessary, forcing us to peel back the layers to a greater truth.

The Retrograde Effect
Venus, the planet of love and relationships, is retrograde during this Blood Moon Eclipse, and shortly after the Eclipse reaches its peak, Mercury, the planet of communication, will also enter retrograde.
Having these two retrograde planets around this Eclipse is going to create a slow down effect, and will encourage us to ponder and look to the past as a way to move forward.
We are invited to speak to those who have been there before us, seek higher guidance, research, and look over past facts and findings in order to navigate our way forward.
Layers will be peeled back, but the retrograde energies indicate that this peeling process could require a lot of patience.
