I used to be a big fan of manifesting things. I would make a list of goals, visualise myself achieving them and wait patiently for them to materialise in my life.
I would say it worked around 80% of the time, but as I continued on my journey of spiritual awakening, the desire to manifest grew less and less.
I didn’t need to manifest because I realised that everything unfolding before me was perfect and meant to be. That is not to say that I didn’t have any troubles, but I realised that all my troubles came with some value. In fact, the more I joined with the flow of life and stopped manifesting, the easier life became.
You see, when I was manifesting I was so caught up in obtaining what I wanted that I missed everything else going on around me. When I gave up manifesting and just opened my eyes to my life and everything around me, I realised that all I had to do was have gratitude and accept things as they were.
I also found that the more I focused on aligning myself with the Divine, the more I attracted into my life what I needed and what I wanted.
Despite all of this, manifesting is still a cool thing to do as long as it doesn’t overrule your life. When you get attached to the things that you are trying to manifest you also lower your vibration and make it harder to receive.
Manifesting is also great for creating positive outcomes and helping to bring about experiences and events. Manifesting is not so great for being greedy, demanding things or expecting things to go a certain way.
In my opinion, for manifestation to be successful you have to keep an open mind and work at a place of consciousness. Sure, you can manifest a million dollars if you put your mind to it, but that really is not what this is all about.
Instead, choose to manifest the overall energy of your life such as abundance, happiness, peace and so on.
Sometimes things that we don’t want to happen have to happen for our greater good, and blocking this flow can only make things more difficult.
In order to manifest from a place of openness, try to manifest the feeling rather than the outcome. When you do this, you manifestation is also far more successful.
For example, say you need more money in your life.
Instead of asking for $100, try instead manifesting more security and stability in your life. Instead of money you may find that you get offered a raise, a new job, or discover a new opportunity to make money. This is much more open and allows you to really see all the potential that the Universe has for you.
If you simply visualise a $100 bill, you are limiting the other multitude of opportunities the Universe may be trying to present to you.
Sometimes you have to trust to that the Divine Universe has a greater and bigger plan in store for you that you can’t currently conceive. So keep that in mind too when it comes to manifesting things.
No matter what you are trying to manifest in your life, here are the steps to take-
- Write down what desire you want to manifest
- Visualise what you want; see yourself achieving that state (practice this a few times per day)
- Believe that you deserve to be in that state
- Feel that state and believe that it is already yours- act like you have it
- Detach from the outcome and trust the power of the Universe
Manifesting is a fun exercise to try and you may even find that you can materialise things pretty quickly in your life using this method.
Just remember to not get too caught up in the outcome. The most important step when it comes to manifestation is the last- detach from the outcome and trust the power of the Universe.
