Two of Rods and The Tower
This week’s cards share a strong message as we step into a New Moon in Cancer on July 17 and the start of Leo Season on July 22. They give tough love and valuable wisdom to help us navigate the cosmic energy that surrounds us.
Let’s first talk about The Tower. This is a card that often brings up dread and fear, but I see it as a sign that we are ready for honesty and new beginnings.
The theme of The Tower is truth. The Tower wants us to focus on the facts above all else. It wants us to be vigilant in our truth-finding and seek to remove any lies surrounding us.
The Tower urges us to deal with the decaying underbrush in our lives so we can plant our seeds in fresh soil. If we have a lot of debris lying around, there is no place for new growth to sprout.
The Tower asks us: Are we currently holding on to a story that we have outgrown? Are there people in our lives that we need to let go of? Are we engaging in things that deplete our energy or hinder our evolution?
With The Tower as our guide for this week, we are called to practice authenticity to create fertile ground. We are called to bring awareness to the blocks we are holding on to and find a way to release them.
The warning with this card is, if we do not do the cutting out ourselves, things might crumble on their own. How can we be more honest with ourselves in order to grow? How can we secure a strong foundation to build our future?
Through The Tower, we will question our narratives. To do this, we start to pay attention to the stories and lies we tell ourselves to get through. We see what is true and what is just fear.
The Tower will no longer stand for limiting beliefs or practices. We are worthy of so much but sometimes we settle for so little. However, with this card, we see ourselves starting to shed those lies and live in the truth.
Next, let’s focus on the Two of Wands, which is the perfect card for the start of Leo Season. With a strong foundation, we start to build our authentic path.
The Two of Wands asks: What is the place that makes you feel the most energized? Where are you confident and in charge? Where are your happy places?
The Two of Wands wants you to contemplate these questions. It wants you to tap into the things that fill you up and make you feel purposeful and passionate. Wherever you feel the fire is where you should direct your energy.
The Two of Wands is all about using the places in your life where you feel the strongest and most confident to give you information about your true purpose. You can also use these places to give you more strength and confidence in other areas.
The idea is if you know you can be courageous in some areas of your life, why can’t you harness that courage in other areas? You are funny, creative, and fearless at times but need to grow this energy in the spaces where you are less confident.
Maybe you need to be brave with something you have been putting off. Maybe you need to be vulnerable with those you love. Or maybe you need to share your talents with a larger audience and connect to your greater purpose.
Wherever you need more power and direction, call upon the fiery energy that is already inside you. Use that fire inside to navigate your path forward.
Set intentions under this New Moon to focus on your truth and go after the things that build you up. You have everything you need to expand your world.
