3 of Cups and 8 of Wands
We are in the Astrological New Year and there is a New Moon in Aries on the 24th. Many of us are experiencing heightened energies and emotions as the world is changing by the moment.
This fast-moving energy is embodied by the 8 of Wands. It points to the feeling of being sped up, where everything is evolving at a rapid pace.
Many of us may feel overwhelmed by this period of rapid movement. We may need to ground ourselves to stay calm and connected during this time.
Deep breaths, warm tea, and connecting with friends are all easy grounding activities. Doing a long mediation or some sort of physical movement is great if you have more time.
It’s helpful to know it’s not all intense with the 8 of Wands. This card also aids in moving blockages. Obstacles will be pushed along by this quick and light energy.
We might feel like we can get into projects that were difficult for us just a few weeks ago. It could be that we have more time now or that we feel more inspired.
Whatever the reason, you will encounter fresh insights and challenging tasks will have a newfound ease.
So, even if we feel preoccupied with the anxieties of the world, we can still move forward with the support of the 8 of Wands and the swift clarity it brings.
The 3 of Cups is also referred to as Abundance. This a more complicated card for us right now since many of us feel depleted and not abundant.
But this card is not about material abundance or luxury. It is about an abundance of love and spirit.
The 3 of Cups points to the love that the Universe gives to us freely. This kind of love is given to us all and we can connect to it at any time.
This love never runs out, there is always an abundance. Just like the cups depicted on the card, it is overflowing.
We also get this love from our closest friends and family. This is a rare love that asks nothing of us and gives itself freely.
If we are lucky enough to experience this type of love in our life, we should take a moment to soak it in and be thankful.
Even though we social distancing, many of us have been connecting more than ever with family and friends. I have heard from many of you that you feel a special closeness in this time of separation.
The relationships this card speaks to are treasures. We should treat them with great respect and appreciation. If you feel the energy of 3 of Cups in your life right now, take a moment to be truly grateful.
