Nikki’s Weekly Tarot Reading: December 8-14, 2025

Weekly Tarot

The cards pictured are from the Crowley Thoth Tarot Deck.

Ace of Wands and The Fool

This week feels like a fresh start, even though it isn’t the beginning of the month or the year yet. However, a new perspective and an optimistic energy have taken hold.

Our first card this week is the Ace of Wands; it is all about connecting to what makes us feel passionate and alive. Wands are about purpose, fire, and spirituality. As an Ace, it has all the potency of every Wands card in one. It calls us to connect to what ignites us.

The Ace card challenges us to look for hope and positivity. It asks us to see the best in a situation, while our mind might be thinking the worst. Even in the darkest times, it wants us to remember that others are carrying burdens as well, and that we can still choose kindness.

The Ace of Wands allows us to connect with the light inside our hearts and see the light around us. We can connect to our true essence, the part that animates us and lives beyond our physical form.

We are all doing the best we can at any given moment. The more loving we can be, the better we will feel, and the more our essence can come through and shine the way.

Use the Ace of Wands to amplify your spirit of kindness and connect with your purpose. Sync up with its energy to align your vibration with love and compassion.

Through the vibration of this card, we are also called to break out of everyday routines and do things that remind us of our fire. Perform an act of care for a stranger, visit a place you have never been before, or follow through with the thing that’s been on your mind.

Anything that sparks your fire will help you connect to the Ace of Wands. How can you use this energy to align with your purpose? How can you step out of your comfort zone? How can you take the time to listen to your heart?

Our next card is the Fool, a card connected to the youthful energy in all of us. The Fool highlights a child’s fantastical imagination, the creative mind, and our adventurous spirit.

It’s the first card in the Major Arcana, and it brings the energy of a new soul that is not familiar with the ups and downs of life. It is all about taking risks and lightening our emotional baggage. If the Fool had a mantra, it would be: Leap and the net will appear.

Each of us can tap into this place when we give it the room it needs to be explored. We can invite the Fool in when we push ourselves to move through our fears and step into the present. The Fool calls us to focus on areas of our lives where we want to take chances.

Starting new relationships, business ventures, or projects is all connected to The Fool. This card is most activated when fresh paths are being taken. It’s asking us to look into 2026 and see what we want for ourselves.

What adventure do you want to embark on? Is there a project you want to start? Do you want to open your heart to new people? Do you want to open your heart to yourself?

This Fool can bring up fear. Many of us have become too familiar with pain, heartbreak, and failure, and these experiences make us afraid to leap. But the Fool has faith in the goodness of our being and lovingly asks us to take down our walls.

Mantra for the week: I connect to the fire inside of me and fearlessly open my heart.
