The Tower and The Hierophant
Lately I have been contemplating the idea of fortune telling. Many of us think we can predict the future and spend hours, if not days thinking about what is to come, often in a negative light.
However, we cannot predict the future and neither can the Tarot. The cards point us to things we already know to be true and allow us to see things deep within ourselves.
They show us what we need to see in order to evolve. They help us tap into our deepest desires. But they are not a fortune teller.
This is very important to remember when The Tower comes up in a reading. When I first pulled this card it made me nervous. It made me feel like the cards know something I don’t and things are about to hit the fan.
Even with all my experience with T
The Tower is a strong card. It is perhaps one of the strongest in the whole of Tarot. It mandates the clearing out of any lies, fake-ness or unhealthy patterns in our lives.
But The Tower is not pointing to some event we do not know about. It is not telling us an unknown disaster is about to take place. It is pointing us to things we already know to be true.
It asks us: how are you holding on to a story that is hurting you? What are you currently doing that makes you feel bad? Who is around you that is pulling you down?
The Tower wants us to remove the decaying underbrush in our lives so we can plant seeds in fresh soil. It wants our ideas, goals and plans to have a real chance of survival. It shows us that we are craving a solid foundation in which to build our life.
We are the ones that set up the environment in which our dreams can grow. If we have a lot of old garbage lying around there is no place for the plants to sprout, so we have to clear it out.
The Tower wants us to listen to our hearts. It wants us to question: in order for our lives to expand positively, what has got to go?
Only you know the answer. Whatever comes up for you when you hear this, is what you need to listen to. Do not ignore the messages of The Tower or your heart.
The Hierophant is here as support this week. It is the card of guidance. It is all about giving us messages on how to evolve spiritually and how to go deeper in our journey.
The Hierophant is ancestral energy leading our path. He gives us signs and symbols in the form of a mentor, a book, a podcast, or a quote. Look out for the messages you need to hear in order to know what direction is next.
Messages will be all around as we move about through our world. Be open to the signs and record what you see.
Listen to your dreams, see what your eyes are drawn to, be aware of who you meet, and say yes to opportunities that present themselves. As you let go of negative aspects of your life, new more joyful things will enter.
The Hierophant energy will guide us to places and people that will aid in building our strong foundation. We are on a path of honesty and real strength. I am proud of you.
Mantra for the week: I am ready for my life to expand. I let go of blocks and negativity. I call in strength and joy.
