Temperance and Three of Pentacles
This week we have a powerful New Moon in Aquarius, Valentine’s Day, and two new cards to help guide us. The cards are sharing supportive and nurturing wisdom as we move through the days ahead.
Our first card is called Temperance and is the 14th card in the Major Arcana. This card shows the figure of a woman or angelic being, who is pouring water from one vessel into another.
She is not spilling a single drop, everything is in perfect equilibrium. This card is related to the union and harmonization of our lives.
Temperance brings up the ideas of trust, faith, and balance. It tells us that the Universe is always at work, maintaining the balance and flow of all things.
While most of the cards in tarot ask us to do inner work and challenge us to grow, the temperance card is about trusting and letting go. Things are unfolding as they should and we need to have faith in the process.
There is nothing for us to do, other than to have faith. The divine goddess and her cleansing waters are in control. They are making sure there is balance between the forces of light and dark.
Even though we are not being asked to do personal work, for some of us this card may be the biggest ask of all. To trust that something larger than us is at play, and that we are protected and watched over.
But this faith will allow the Universe to work its magic as we let go of the reigns.
Our next card is the Three of Pentacles. This a card about community, collaboration, and receiving support. It says with teamwork, determination, and focus we will accomplish great things.
What is this card pointing to in your life? Is there a big project you are tackling? Are you starting a new creative pursuit? Are you just trying to juggle the task of daily life?
Whatever it is, you may feel overwhelmed by the complexity, newness, or size of the job at hand. And that is okay!
The Three of Pentacles is here to tell us not to be afraid. It also wants us to know it will not be easy. It will take a lot of discipline, strategy, and hard work to be successful.
Think back to a time when you were successful in the past. Think of all the hard work, focus, and intelligence it took to accomplish what you did. Allow your past experiences to build up your mental strength.
If you were able to succeed then, you can more than succeed now. You are older and wiser after all.
If you become overwhelmed at any point in your work towards your goal, reach out to those around you. This is a card of community and teamwork. You do not have to tough it out or persevere alone.
Your friends, family, and coworkers want to support you. So rely on their strength when you need them.
They might just have the talents and perspective you are missing and can fill in the gaps as you work towards the finish line. Together we will reach the mountain top.
Mantra for the week: I am supported and loved by my community and the Universe. I trust that all will work out as it should.
