The Knight of Cups and Queen of Wands
This week, we have a Full Moon in Leo on the 28/29th and Mercury will retrograde on the 30th. These cosmic events will challenge us to expand, release, and reflect.
The cards are here to support us as we navigate these vibrations. We are called to deeper awareness and connection to our true self.
The Knight of Cups is reaching towards a glowing chalice in the clouds. His determination is powerful and his energy is focused. His wings rise him up and nothing can stop him from his path.
This card speaks to those times when we become obsessed with productivity and reaching our end goal. When we become too focused on any one thing and have very specific exceptions.
This card also warns against attaching our worth as a person with achieving set goals.
If we are too narrow in our vision or want things to look perfect, we remove the chance for spontaneity or creativity. If we have tunnel vision, there is less room for the Universe to intervene or for us to notice the bigger world around us.
The Knight of Cups calls us to dream without forgetting to open our eyes to all the possibilities. It wants us to remember that things don’t always look as we expected. It’s okay if we veer off the path and it’s good to let go of controlling the outcomes.
This is also a way to work with the energy of the Leo Full Moon. We can work on releasing specific expectations and our need to control.
We can set our intentions but allow room for the path to unfold in a myriad of ways. This will also aid in our ability to step into our power because our need to control is usually wrapped up in fear.
The Queen of Wands is the fire inside all of us. She is the energy that makes us a loving and loyal friend as well as a worthy adversary.
The Queen speaks to the passionate energy that bubbles up when we see injustices in the world. And the warrior in us that has been through the very worst of days and made it out stronger.
This makes her tough and opinionated but lacking when it comes to communicating in a diplomatic way. She can be overpowering and turn people off with her intensity.
With Mercury entering retrograde, it is even more important we are aware of how we communicate, as it can make it even more challenging. We should use the lessons of the Queen of Wands to practice compassionate expression.
This week we are called to connect to our fire within while learning to be aware of how this fire might impact others. Some questions we might ask are:
How can we be both strong and warm at the same time? How can we share our passion without alienating others? How can we have compassion for those we do not agree with while still holding them accountable?
Let the fire push you to create change through understanding and grace. The kindness in your communication and actions will make them so much more impactful.
