The Hierophant and Strength
Our first card this week is The Hierophant. When this card comes us up, we are often at a crossroads. We are ready to go to the next level but we are not sure what direction to go in.
This card calls for us to seek out a spiritual practice or teacher to help us reach a higher vibrational level. Spend some time this week with the words of wise leaders, writers, and mentors to learn from their wisdom.
There are so many brilliant people that have come before us that have figured out peaceful ways of living. We do not have to reinvent the wheel or go through it alone. They have found answers to life’s many questions and we can gain from their experiences.
Tarot was and continues to be my tool for spiritual and emotional support. I have turned to it over and over again when I have needed to connect with the divine and get out of my head. Reading the beautiful interpretations of other Tarot readers always inspires me as well. Tarot is my constant Hierophant.
Be on the lookout for a teacher or mentor entering your life. It could be in the form of a book, teaching, or an actual person full of wisdom and leadership. You may already know this person, but their words will hit differently this week. The Hierophant calls us to open ourselves to receive guidance.
Keep your eyes peeled for specific signs meant to give you a push in the right direction. Be ready to take in all that is around you. The call of The Hierophant is amplified this week and the Universe is speaking to you.
Our second card this week is Strength, the eighth card in the Major Arcana. This card is about feeling fearful or unsure about things but doing them anyway. It is about having compassion for our anxieties and taming our inner bear through acceptance and love.
Strength is necessary to get through the intensity of the times we are living. We need strength to weather the ups and downs and to have courage during this time of global awakenings and uprisings.
We understand that this is a marathon, not a sprint and we need fuel from our reserves to get us through. By creating inner respite through acceptance of our more turbulent emotions, we can feel energized to push forward.
The woman on the Strength card holds a regal stare. She looks towards her future with a tamed bear at her side. She is ready to take on what’s next.
She is not free of fear, but she has accepted her anxieties as part of herself. Her fear of inaction is greater than her fear of her emotions.
The Strength card is here to call us to the same courage. It knows many of us are dealing with personal and public worries, but it wants to keep our goals in focus and continue to push forward.
Mantra for the week: I show up with strength to support a more loving world. I am open to the signs and wisdom around me.
