weekly tarot reading

The King of Wands and Knight of Swords

We are entering a week with a New Moon on the 17th and the Equinox on the horizon. We also have two powerful cards that speak to leadership, inner strength and fire. They remind us of our agency and self-determination.

The Knight of Wands is about vision, leadership, and fire. It is energetic, enthusiastic, and aware. Under the influence of this card our insights our heightened. He brings in fresh energy in partnership with the New Moon.

On this card, the king stands next to a lion. They share a deep bond and they have a symbiotic relationship of strength and vulnerability. He is a man of the Earth and carries a deep gratitude for everything around him.

The Knight of Wands is strong but compassionate. There is a respect for multitudes of living things and an ability to see the interconnectedness of life.

This is the card of getting things done in a respectful and efficient way. It’s about getting what we want, through both thoughtfulness and passion.

There are unexpected shifts in energy under this card. Blockages are swept out of our path, allowing us to move forward in a direction of our choosing.

Use this gentle strength this week to propel yourself forward. A grounded but confident approach will make doors open that were once closed. You will be able to connect in ways that make others feel safe and allow you to move forward with grace.

When it comes to our political environment, this will be a week of making big changes and using this energy to our advantage. Make sure you don’t sleep on these vibrations, this will a moment of making things happen.

The Knight of Swords is all about being clear-headed and is the perfect companion to King of Wands. Its light and bright energy will help us move swiftly. It will also allow us to gain focus if we feel distracted in our quest.

It allows us to accomplish tasks we have been putting off. These are unfinished errands that have been making us stressed or adding to our negative thoughts.

The elements of fire and air in this card gives us a quick and powerful boost to get things done. It will even help you find solutions to problems that have felt too tricky or complicated.

Seeing clearly and accomplishing our to-do lists will really aid in a more positive view of ourselves. When times are dark, a clean house or an organized inbox can help to adjust or lift our heavy spirits.

Make use of this energy this week and get those tasks done. Use it to think through sticky problems and some unexpected answers will come through.

The King of Wands and Knight of Swords will support our New Moon intentions and our goal setting as we enter a new season. They are boosting our strengths and helping us to act clearly and effectively.

Mantra for the week: I use my passion and intelligence to get things done. I am a problem solver and clear thinker.
