Nine of Cups and Ten of Cups
The Nine of Cups is also referred to as Happiness. The happiness it speaks of cannot be achieved by accumulating things or experiences. It’s about knowing yourself on a much deeper level, where happiness takes on a different form for each person.
This card invites you to explore your true dreams and encourages you to become the most genuine version of yourself. It inspires self-acceptance, motivates a healthier lifestyle, and promotes ongoing personal growth.
The Nine of Cups is about understanding our connection to each living being. This understanding can lead to a deep level of emotional completion and compassion.
When you nurture a positive relationship with yourself and meet your personal needs, you will be better equipped to support others. By doing so, your own happiness will radiate from within, positively impacting those around you.
When you are at peace with yourself, you become a kinder and more compassionate person. Not from obligation because you feel a deep desire to show up in the best way possible.
Our next card is the Ten of Cups. This card signifies a sense of contentment and satisfaction. Our desire for more has been satisfied, and we feel perfectly full.
Satiety is a stronger and more stable feeling than that of happiness. The Ten of Cups is associated with a sense of groundedness derived from hard work and a commitment to our values.
This sense of contentment is attainable when we dedicate ourselves to nurturing the well-being of our spiritual core, the resilient part of us that remains unwavering. Satisfaction emerges when we align our actions with our authentic selves.
The feeling of wanting ‘more’ is constantly tempting us. What is the next goal, the next thing to buy, the next place to go, or the next thing we need? We are constantly bombarded with what we should desire next.
The energy of the Ten of Cups encourages us to recognize temptations but take a step back before acting. We resist the urge to act on impulse; we avoid purchasing items we don’t need, are not driven by the fear of missing out, and refrain from setting a new goal immediately after achieving one.
We feel like we can move through the world with a deeper sense of contentment. Things come toward us, and we can say yes or no with ease. We are satisfied with the present moment and our present selves.
This is a feeling you can work towards each day by tapping into what is good and lovely in the moment. Through awareness and mindfulness, we come to realize how much we already possess. We don’t feel the tug for more; we are perfectly satisfied.
What can you do to embody the energy of the Ten of Cups this week? How can you connect with your spiritual center? How can you embrace the feeling of satisfaction?
Mantra for the week: When I embrace self-love, I radiate compassion towards the world around me. I am whole and have all that I need.
