The Princess of Disks and The Moon
This week marks the arrival of the Equinox and the start of Libra Season. We are also feeling the effects of the New Moon Solar Eclipse in Virgo, marking the conclusion of Eclipse Season. As we close one chapter, we open another, inviting fresh and vibrant energy into our lives.
September 22 marks the halfway point in the astrological calendar until our March Equinox next year. Whether you are heading into Fall in the Northern Hemisphere or spring in the Southern, this transition is a sacred time when the veil between our physical and spiritual worlds is thin.
We observe the changes in the natural world around us and will also experience them within ourselves. For the North, nature is releasing, letting go, and preparing for the winter. In the South, nature is blooming and flourishing. We can feel these higher vibrations, and our cards are here to help us channel this energy.
Our first card, the Princess of Disks, thrives in the outdoors and encourages us to connect with the natural world. She invites us to spend time in nature for both healing and to enhance our intuition.
The Princess of Disks is a planner. She is hardworking, responsible, and takes care of business. She doesn’t want the spotlight but makes sure everything goes smoothly behind the scenes.
The Princess of Disks is here to support us during this time. While we may feel the urge to spring into action, the Princess encourages us to consider the logistics and details.
What work do we need to begin? What are our initial steps? The fresh energy this week motivates us to enter planning mode. We can approach projects and to-do lists with greater ease and enthusiasm. We keep things progressing as we focus on the bigger picture ahead.
The Princess inspires us to pause and invest time in planning our path to success. Recognizing the importance of saying no to distractions allows us to concentrate on our greater ambitions. Moreover, spending time in nature empowers us, revitalizes our energy, and inspires our creativity.
Our next card this week is The Moon. The Moon is number eighteen in the Major Arcana and depicts a mysterious nighttime scene. The card here shows Anubis, the jackal god of the Egyptians. Below is a scarab beetle holding a glowing moon.
The scarab is a symbol of renewal and immortality, portraying the Moon’s association with natural cycles and rhythms. We are called to tap into the cycles and rhythms of our lives and to allow ourselves to go with the flow.
When we resist the natural ups and downs, we find ourselves exhausted and out of sync. However, when we acknowledge that everything has both peaks and valleys, we become more grounded and at peace.
We know that after winter, spring always follows. And that all New Moons will lead into a Full Moon and back again. It is the same with our lives. There are times of plenty and times with less. The more comfortable we are with the cyclical nature of life, the more we can find the good in each moment.
The Moon card indicates a voyage to the centre of ourselves. When we journey inside, we don’t find flaws or weaknesses, but an unshakeable core that is steady through all the phases of life.
When we connect to ourselves through the Moon’s guidance, we find our psychic and intuitive abilities. Essential parts of ourselves are revealed when we open up to what is deep inside.
