One of the astrological themes taking shape this year is the rise of feminine consciousness. In fact, this is something that has been in the works for sometime, but 2018 stands out as being one of the most pivotal years.
The rise of feminine consciousness is not just about equal rights for women, although that is definitely part of it, instead it goes much deeper than this and beyond the idea of gender.
The rise of feminine consciousness is an awakening of power that is aligned with feminine energy or yin energy.
Feminine or yin energy is intuitive, nurturing, soft, reflective, watery, creative, artistic, innovative, entrepreneurial, intelligent, communicative, resourceful, compassionate, and organized.
Feminine or yin energy is about honoring the Divine wisdom that resides within, and using this knowledge and this power to make decisions and express yourself.
Feminine or yin energy rules over the seasons of Autumn/Fall and Winter, which are typically times to let go, rest, reflect and go within.
Masculine or yang energy on the other hand, is always expressed in an outward fashion. In a perfect world, feminine consciousness would allow us to know what to do, while masculine consciousness would allow us to know how to act.
Of course, we need both masculine and feminine energy to be in balance, but for a long time now, most of planet Earth has been lead by a masculine, yang approach.
This energy definitely has its place, but when there is no balance, it leads to war, destruction, a lack of compassion, inequality, segregation, egomania, and a rejection of the intuitive power that we all have within.
For years, most countries have been ruled under the influence of this energy and while it has worked in some ways, it has definitely failed in others. This will always be the case, until there is balance and equal energy shared between masculine and feminine energies.
As we start to become aware that the way we have been doing things as a society is no longer working, more and more people will start looking for change and more and more will begin awakening.
As this awakening movement continues to rise, the planets can show us the direction. This direction is towards the rise of feminine power, the rise of feminine consciousness.
This rise and awakening is happening within all of us, regardless of our gender. Whether we are male, female, transgender or no gender, a new wave of consciousness is preparing to rise up and start filling the gaps.
According to ancient wisdom, the rise of feminine power is something that happens as the world prepares to shift into the Golden Age. It has been suggested that planet Earth moves through cycles of low and high vibrations.
When the planet is in lower vibrations, it lacks balance between feminine and masculine energy, but as the consciousness and vibration of the planet increases, balance and unity is found.
It is believed we are moving towards this state of higher consciousness, or the Golden Age, and therefore we are slowly starting to see the rise of the feminine.
Even though the Golden Age is still a long way off, from now until 2020 there is going to be a movement in the works where feminine consciousness, feminine power and all of the yin principles need to be honored and given room to shine.
2020 brings one of the most talked about planetary meetings in the astrological community- the meeting of Pluto and Saturn.
While it remains to be seen what this rare celestial alignment is going to bring, it really seems that a huge tipping point is in the works and that these two planets are supporting huge change to occur.
The time to rise up is now. The time to start honoring the feminine is now, and we can all start doing this in the way that feels right to us.
Here are some suggestions on what honoring feminine/yin energy may look like-
