Need a fresh start?
If you feel like your life has become a bit stagnant or too many bad habits have crept into your routine, the Taurus New Moon on May 4th holds the magic you need to make some changes!
When making changes, sometimes it is best to focus your attention on all the good things in your life rather than getting bogged down on the things that are not working. This allows more of the good stuff to grow and gives you the strength, clarity, and motivation you need to work through some of the more problematic areas of your life.
Taurus is ruled by Venus, the planet of beauty and love, and under the soft, feminine energy of the Taurus New Moon, we can all bring more joy, creativity, and love into our lives with greater ease.
To welcome in this energy and to become a magnet to it, here is a ritual to guide you:
Taurus New Moon Bathing Ritual
If you don’t have a bath, you can also prepare your ingredients in a jug of warm water and pour over yourself in the shower.
This ritual is best done from May 3rd-12th, 2019.
You will need:
- Cleansing tool of choice (eg. Sage, Palo Santo, incense, etc.)
- 3-5 Fresh flowers of your choice
- Essential oils of your choice ( I like peppermint and lavender for this ritual, but you can use whatever you feel drawn to)
- Himalayan or Sea Salt
- Candles (optional)
Directions:
1.) Begin by cleansing your aura using your tool of choice. As you cleanse your aura, recite the following-
“I cleanse and release the past. The pains, the worries, the troubles I have faced. They are all cleansed and released from my bones, from my back, from my neck, my feet, and my heart. All that no longer serves me is taken away and all that remains is the light, the love, the joy of my truth, my authenticity, and my soul. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.”
Next, cleanse your surroundings, including the ritual ingredients. As this is a bathing ritual, feel free to cleanse your bathtub/shower too. As you cleanse, recite the following-
“The energy that surrounds me now is light, is pure, is free. The energy that greets me here is light, is pure, is free. I cleanse away the heaviness, I cleanse all that is dull. All that remains is light, is pure, is free. I cleanse this space with light and loving energy. I am cleansed. This space is cleansed. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.”
2.) Before starting your bath, take your flowers and sit with them in your lap. Close your eyes and take 10 deep breaths just to settle your energy. For added healing and support, try my guided meditation or just sit in silence on your own until you feel still and relaxed.
3.) Hold one of your flowers in your hands. Take a moment to give thanks to the flower and express your gratitude for it.
4.) Now, think of something you wish to bring into your life like an emotion, a feeling or an opportunity. This flower is going to act like a vessel and will help to hold what you desire within it. When ready, hold the flower in both hands and repeat the following- “I breathe (insert what you want) into this flower.”
As you do, take a deep breath and blow into the flower, imagining that you are exhaling whatever it is that you want into the flower.
5.) Repeat this process for the remaining flowers. If you like, you can use any of the following:
“I breathe self-love into this flower”
“I breathe forgiveness into this flower”
“I breathe a loving relationship into this flower”
“I breathe kindness and understanding into this flower”
“I breathe energy, motivation, and purpose into this flower”
“I breathe unlimited joy into this flower”
“I breathe a new job into this flower”
6.) Once you have done that, start filling the bath with warm water. You can also light some candles to set the mood if you wish. Once the bath is filled, add the essential oils, the salt, and finally, your flowers.
7.) Hop into the bath and just allow yourself to relax and enjoy. Imagine the energy of the flowers, the healing properties of the oils and the salt, and the work you did during the guided meditation sinking in deep to the layers of your entire being.
8.) To close the ritual, drain the bath water, snuff out the candles, and bury the flowers somewhere outside. Now, watch and see how the things you asked for start to infuse into your life in magical ways!
Happy New Moon!
