The Chariot and the 10 of Swords
We have a Full Moon this week in Scorpio. As we come to the end of a lunar cycle, we are also coming to the end of a cycle in Tarot as well.
When we receive a 10 card it means we are at the culmination of a journey, something has reached its limit and we cannot go any further. When it comes to the 10 of Swords this is a good thing.
This card shows us laying at our side with 10 sharp swords piercing our body. We say everything is okay as we just scroll through our phones, over and over. But everything is not okay, we are in pain and the world in pain.
We know this but we also don’t know this. We are oscillating between feeling it deeply and not feeling it at all. We cannot take it all in at once or it will honestly be too much.
We have been distracting ourselves with social media, home projects, or whatever we have needed at the time. And this is okay. The 10 of Swords tells us that it is perfectly okay to use distraction to get through this intensity.
Part of letting go of the energy of the 10 of Swords, will be letting go the guilt for the things we have used to get through. To move to the next phase we will need to be okay with the things we have used to cope.
Work on compassion and acceptance for yourself this week. We are living in unprecedented times, whatever you have needed to do is okay. Please know that.
As we move out of the 10 of Swords we move into the energy of The Chariot.
The Chariot is a card on the Fool’s journey that represents taking charge of your life. It is about fully showing up and being all in.
When we are embodying the Chariot we are no longer held back by what others think, or the burden of doing what we are ‘supposed’ to do. We know that life is short and we have decided to go for it.
One of the specific ways this usually shows up is through travel. But since this will not be a possible for many of us for a while, how else can we see the Chariot manifesting in our worlds?
The card calls us to life-affirming movement and action. How can we still embody this when we are limited in what we can do? What are ways you can hold this energy in your current place?
What does your spirit seem called to do? Is there something you desire that you can start planning and saving for? Where does your heart want you to go?
Take time this week to think about these questions. Write down the things you are called to and how you want to get there. Think practically about the steps needed and when would be the best time.
The Chariot is not just about envisioning a new reality but really putting your dreams into action. If we build a strong base in ourselves, it can be our launching pad to take flight.
Mantra for the week: I let go of the pain and guilt I’ve held on to. I explore my future through constructive contemplation.
