The 7 of Swords and The Chariot
This will be a week of paying attention to details and getting closer to ourselves. We will work with the energy of self-exploration and reflection.
Let’s first explore the Chariot. It is a Major Arcana card and the seventh stop on the Fool’s Journey.
The Major Arcana are the 22 cards in Tarot that follow the journey of the Fool. The Fool is card 0 and the Universe is card 21.
This journey depicts the ups and downs of life from birth to enlightenment and back to birth. If Tarot cards are signs on the road of life, the Major Arcana cards are flashing billboards.
They have a loud message and signify a big moment in your life. It is either a major realization, a big turning point, or a leveling up of some kind.
Whatever way it shows up, a Major Arcana moment is not one you will forget. It represents a serious shift in the journey to becoming your higher self.
The Chariot is a card on the Fool’s journey that represents taking charge of your life. It is about fully showing up and being all in. The beautiful horse on the card is full of life, with wind in their hair, and eyes full of determination.
This horse is not afraid to live the life that they want. They are no longer held back by what others think of them or the burden of doing what they are ‘supposed’ to do. They know that life is short and they have decided to go for it.
One of the specific ways this usually shows up is through travel. But since this will not be a possible for many of us for a while, how else can we see the Chariot manifesting in our world?
The card calls us to life-affirming movement and action. How can we still embody that when we are limited in what we can do? What are ways you can hold this energy in your current place?
Is there something you desire that you can start planning and saving for? What does your spirit seem called to do? Where does your heart want you to go?
Take time this week to think about these questions. Write down the places you are called to go and how you could get there. Think practically about the steps needed and when would be the best time.
The Chariot is not just about envisioning but really putting your dreams into action. The four red corners of the card represents a solid foundation. They show us that if we build a strong base in ourselves, it can be our launching pad to take flight.
This week, take time to build up your foundation. Do things for your body and mind, things that make you feel strong. From this place, your plans will seem less like dreams and more attainable.
The 7 of Swords is about stuck energy. It is about the need for release.
The card shows six swords clearly displayed and one sword hidden under a little fox. The fox has one eye open and is wrapped up in their tail.
This image points to a secretive part of ourselves. We are avoiding or covering up something, something that needs examined and released.
This could be connected to the Chariot and the secret dream we need to speak into reality. It could be a bad habit we need to deal with in order to feel more whole. Or it could be a lie we are telling ourselves about something that is no longer working.
Since many of us have the gift of time right now, we are being called to ask these questions and really examine our hearts and minds. We are being called to take out our journals and write with deep honesty.
Set intentional time aside this week for some serious contemplation and journaling. Ask about your future dreams and what you are holding on to. See if you can get closer to yourself and release what is inside.
Mantra for the week: My foundation is solid and I am strong. I explore my heart through honest reflection.
