Nikki’s Weekly Tarot Reading: February 7-13, 2022

The cards pictured are from the Regal Shadow Tarot Deck.

Nine of Cups and Queen of Wands

Our cards this week speak to our hearts, radical self-love, and the need for pleasure. They point us to the nourishing energy that will help us to be healthier and more loving people.

Our first card is the Nine of Cups. This card speaks of knowing yourself on a deep level in order to reach a place of happiness. In some decks, the Nine of Cups also speaks to our desire and enjoying the sensual pleasures of our world.

The Nine of Cups points to a true understanding of what you want in life and working hard to be the best version of yourself. It’s about accepting yourself while also striving to be healthier and more evolved.

This card is also about our connection to all things. Through this understanding, we can come to a state of emotional completion. I know there is so much we want to change and there is so much pain in the world, but we can love ourselves for who we are while continuing to work on our growth.

From this understanding, your own personal happiness can radiate out of you. When you cultivate a positive relationship with yourself and tend to your personal needs, it can help you support others.

Through the love of self, you feel called to evolve. Not because you have to or because something is wrong with you, but because you feel a deep desire to show up in the best way possible.

How can you practice some love this week? What are healthy ways you can push yourself? How can you show up positively for others?

Our next card is the Queen of Wands. This queen is the fire inside all of us and the energy that makes us loyal friends as well as worthy adversaries.

The Queen speaks to the passionate energy that bubbles up when we see injustices in the world. She is the warrior inside us that has been through the very worst of days and made it out stronger.

This makes her tough and opinionated but lacking when it comes to diplomatic communication. She can be overpowering and turn people off with her intensity.

This week, it is important to be aware of how we communicate as it can feel a bit challenging. We should use the lessons of the Queen of Wands to practice compassionate expression.

We are called to connect to our fire inside while learning how it might impact others. Some questions we might ask are:

How can we be both strong and warm at the same time? How can we share our passion without alienating others? How can we have compassion for those we do not agree with while still holding them accountable?

Let this fire push you to create change through understanding and grace. By imbuing your communication and actions with kindness it will make them much more impactful.

Mantra for the week: I make space for self-care and pleasure. I create change through compassion and love.
