Six of Swords and Ace of Cups
We are starting a new month this week and the changing seasons are ever more present. We also have a Full Moon in Aries on the 1st of October giving us a release and a clearing for new paths.
The cards this week speak both of heaviness and hope. The Six of Swords points to difficulties and hard decisions. The Ace of Cups shares a celebration of love.
We will start with the Six of Swords. This card shows passengers on a boat traveling to a new land. They have been through a battle and made the hard decision to venture to uncharted territory.
Grief is present whenever we leave something familiar but there is also excitement for what will come next. So while fear is quite common with the Six of Swords there is also hope.
A phrase that comes up for this card is, there is no change where there is no action. Without making a decision to shake things up, things will stay painfully stagnant. And from the looks of the Six of Swords, we really need a shake-up.
We a forced to make a tough call and often it does not feel good. However, the Full Moon will support this release and give us the extra courage we need.
We will then be headed for safer ground where we can rest and recharge. The sea will calm and we will be able to see clearly.
Removing ourself from chaos or drama will allow us to reconnect to ourselves. On dry land, we are able to connect to our logical thinking and make choices from a non-anxious place.
Like a scientist, we are able to sort through evidence and make choices based on facts. The energy of this card allows us to zoom out and see without our personal biases being front and center.
Before we felt confused and stuck, but now we are able to choose things that will bring us greater stability and joy. So focus on areas where you have felt overwhelmed and use the energy of the 6 of Swords to sort through the blockages.
The Ace of Cups is connected to the hard work of the Six of Swords. It show us what is waiting on the other side of our hard but necessary decisions.
It indicates a time of love and compassion, where we tap into our ability to love and be loved. The Universe sends us large amounts of divine energy because we are more open to receive it.
With the Ace of Cups we let go of our need to control things we cannot control. Instead we tap into the flow and accept life as it is. We feel a sense of freedom and trust.
A zen saying comes to mind for the Ace of Cups: sit quietly, doing nothing, spring comes, and the grass grows by itself. We do not have to control things or make things happen. Spring comes by itself.
This is quite different energy from the 6 of Swords. First, we have to overcome blocks by choosing to experience all that blossoms under the Ace of Cups.
How will you use this energy this week? Will you listen to the message of the Six of Swords and Ace of Cups? I hope you do, because so much love is headed your way.
Mantra for the week: I honor the relationship with myself when making decisions. Love is all around and love leads the way.
