Turning Self Analysis into Self Acceptance

self analysis into acceptance

So many of us on the quest to discovering who we are or journeying through a spiritual awakening, spend hours, days, months and even years trying to sort through all the ‘baggage’ in the hopes of receiving clarity and understanding.

While there is definitely nothing wrong with digging deep to clear out all the old, unwanted junk that we are carrying around, there is also a point where this self-analysis and need to dig deeper and deeper and deeper can become detrimental and unnecessary.

Only you can determine when enough is enough, but often we forget that sometimes we have the option to say- “You know what,  I have fears and baggage and issues with letting go but that is ok. I am Ok.”

In fact, many of us need to remind ourselves of this more- You are OK! You are even better than ok, you are perfect. Forget the baggage and the issues, your mistakes, your needs and your wants, because underneath all of that you are exactly where you need to be and are doing a fantastic job.

Repeat that to yourself- “I am exactly where I need to be and I am doing a fantastic job.”

This is a great space to move into when you are perhaps hitting a brick wall or feeling overwhelmed with uncovering some blockages or negative thought patterns.

The magic with this is, sometimes when we allow ourselves this breathing space the healing automatically occurs. When we simplify things and remove all the drama, suddenly we are left with the only thing that can bring us closure- acceptance.

When we accept how things are, when we stop resisting what we are feeling and just allow ourselves to be exactly as we are, when we remind ourselves that we are perfect regardless of our flaws, suddenly there is no reason to struggle or feel confused.

There is a great power in taking a back seat and allowing the Universe to deliver the perfect answer to you rather than you going out there to seek it.

Ask the Universe to guide you and then remain open to the signs that may come in the form of synchronicities, coincidences, gut feelings, dreams and divine messages.

At the end of the day, all the answers we seek are already within us, we just need to become quiet enough so we can hear them.

“Often it is not about becoming a new person, but becoming the person you were meant to be, and already are, but don’t know how to be.”- Heath L. Buckmaster.
