2026 is a number 1 year in numerology, indicating a year of growth and new beginnings. We are being called to step out of our comfort zones, experiment, and push the envelope on what we thought was possible. We are being guided to make changes, welcome new beginnings, and search for new opportunities.
The old ways, the old habits and routines, are no longer going to serve. We have to look forward, we have to push ahead, we have to strive to keep evolving. When we do, the energies of the year will support our growth and help us to flow with all the new cosmic patterns that are unfolding.
One of the most remarkable events taking place in our cosmic skies in 2026 is the start of six new karmic cycles. To have this many cosmic shifts happening in one year is really special, and an indication that we are all shifting into a new paradigm.
The major cosmic shifts to pay attention to this year include Saturn and Neptune moving into Aries, Uranus moving into Gemini, Chiron moving into Taurus, Jupiter moving into Leo, and the Nodal Axis shifting to Aquarius and Leo.
These big cosmic shifts are going to create some ripples in the fabric of our being and activate new personalities, thoughts, feelings, and ideas. We may just surprise ourselves in what new inspirations arise!
From January to June, our focus is going to be on calibrating to the new energies. We may feel the sense of wanting to try new things, but it may be difficult for us to know exactly what. This is a good opportunity to flow with the energies, experiment, but not set anything in stone just yet. Of course, we must always listen to our own instincts and intuition first, but it seems that the first part of the year is about nurturing our curiosity, trying new things, and pushing ourselves out of our comfort zones.
In the second part of the year, from June to December, we feel a lot more confident about what new things we want to bring in. We may have a clearer path and feel ready to make commitments. We will feel more momentum and will be able to see the harvest of all we have been planting earlier in the year.
As we wrap up 2026, we experience Venus retrograde, which only comes around once every 18 months. Venus Retrograde will be stirring our heart energy and guiding us to check in with our relationships and deeper emotions. This is a very healing time that is likely to stir some heart awakenings.
Ending the year with a Venus Retrograde is interesting, as it helps to gear us up for the themes of 2027, which are very much about partnership and working together!
Let’s now take a deep dive into the major cosmic events of 2026 and what you can expect-

Six New Karmic Cycles that Inspire Powerful Rebirths
January 26th: Neptune in Aries
Neptune returning to Aries is one of the biggest cosmic events of the year and sets us up on a new cycle. Neptune has been in Pisces since 2011, but now it is in Aries and here to stay until 2039. This long-running cycle is going to change our vision, our dreams and goals, and get us looking in a new creative direction. When Neptune enters Aries, we may feel a need to shift in some way. Our vision, or the way we have been looking at things, may change. We may slowly start to realize something we couldn’t see before. An awakening or an ah-ha moment is also possible. Neptune moving through Aries is going to create more awareness around our ego, identity, and how we present ourselves to the world. There will be a desire to really understand and perhaps even reinvent ourselves in some way. Neptune in Aries can also bring illusion or cast a veil when it comes to who we are, but this veil will eventually lead us to a greater truth. You can read more about Neptune in Aries here.
February 13th: Saturn in Aries
Saturn moving into Aries is another major cosmic event for 2026 and is the beginning of another big cosmic cycle. Saturn will tour through Aries for the next 2.5 years, helping us to uncover new blocks, boundaries, and challenges. Saturn wants us to become a master, but that journey requires hard work, dedication, and some failures along the way. Saturn can also make us feel held back and restricted, but once we figure out where we need to be and where we are going, its presence can give us the stamina and determination to make it happen. Aries is the sign of the leader and holds a fiery quality, so Saturn in this placement can really help us to achieve our goals. We may feel more determined to start something new or to plant new seeds, but we will have to be patient to see them come to fruition. While Aries wants things to happen yesterday, Saturn is going to slow us down and ensure we are taking methodical and practical steps to achieve our goals. You can read more about Saturn in Aries here.
April 25th: Uranus in Gemini
Another big cosmic cycle is here to stay in 2026, with Uranus moving into Gemini. Uranus has been in Taurus since 2018, but now it is moving into Gemini, where it will remain for the next seven years. Uranus is the planet of awakening, but in order to awaken us, it brings surprise, change, and instability. Uranus shakes the ground we are walking on in order to wake us up and push us out of our comfort zone. Around the time Uranus moves into Gemini, pay attention to any sudden developments, shifts, or feelings of instability. This is likely where you will be doing some upgrades. May 19th: Chiron in Taurus
Another big shift this year is Chiron moving out of Aries, into Taurus. Chiron is known as the wounded healer, and represents what we come into this life to heal and transcend. While Chiron in Aries encouraged us to move on and not lick our wounds, Chiron in Taurus wants to slow us down and really understand the nature of our wounding. This is an excellent time to unpack deep wounds and traumas, not necessarily to “fix” anything, but to bring acceptance to our wounding. Chiron often deals with the wounds that will never leave us, and teaches us not to sugarcoat, but instead, allow our wounds to become portals of wisdom, teaching, and spiritual awareness. Chiron in Taurus will help us unpack things from the ground up and shift our focus to nourishment, pleasure, and self-care. Chiron will move back into Aries on September 17th. You can read more about Chiron in Aries here.
June 30th: Jupiter in Leo
Another big planetary shift is here to guide us with Jupiter moving into Leo. This will change the pace of the year and set a new focus for us. Jupiter is the planet of expansion, so expect something to be highlighted on this day. We may find our attention drawn to a new opportunity or outcome. On a collective level, Jupiter moving into Leo will help fuel some fun, playful energy for all of us. We will be encouraged to lighten up and not take things so seriously. Leo does have some dramatic flair, however, so this is also something we can embrace. Jupiter moving into Leo is also wonderful to support creative endeavours, fashion, and personal branding.
July 26th: Nodal Axis shifts to Aquarius and Leo
The Nodal Axis is connected to our Eclipse cycles and shifts every 18 months. On July 26, we experience the shift of the North Node into Aquarius and the South Node into Leo. The North Node is where we are heading, and the South Node is what we are building on. Having the North Node in Aquarius indicates that we are moving towards community and working together. It also indicates rapid advancements in technology. The South Node in Leo shows that we are being called to put our own needs aside and instead, focus on what we can do for others. While we, of course, cannot ignore our own needs all the time, this shift inspires us to think about what we can give rather than what we can receive. We are called to think about our needs as a whole, rather than as individuals.
Solar and Lunar Eclipses
February 17th: Solar Eclipse (Aquarius)
The first eclipse of the year falls in Aquarius, and is a Solar Eclipse, helping to open a brand new wave of energy. This Eclipse encourages us to think outside the box and may bring some surprising or new developments our way that we didn’t see coming. As this is the first Eclipse in the Leo-Aquarius cycle, this Eclipse will also plant seeds for what’s to come later in the year and through 2027.
March 3rd: Virgo Lunar Eclipse
The Virgo Lunar Eclipse brings a purge energy. We are called to clear away all that is no longer serving us, and behaviors that are tied to perfectionism. This Eclipse however, does promise a happy ending. It seems it will be easier for us to see the silver linings and to focus on the positives. It also seems that whatever we are purging will help us to feel lighter and more balanced.
August 12th: Leo Solar Eclipse
This Eclipse is connected to the Aquarius Solar Eclipse we experienced back in February. We are building on any new beginnings that Eclipse brought our way. There are also opportunities here to put ourselves first and to think about all the ways we sacrifice ourselves for others. We may have to be selfish in some way or assert our boundaries. The challenges we face will likely bring us into a greater state of authenticity.
August 28th: Pisces Lunar Eclipse
This is the last Eclipse in the Virgo-Pisces cycle, so a sense of endings and closure may arrive under this Eclipse. Pisces is a soft and sensitive energy, that can sometimes weaken us and make us more susceptible to the emotions of the world around us. This may be a challenging Eclipse, which will force us to get out of our heads and into our hearts.
Cosmic Conjunctions & Rare Retrogrades
January 7th: Venus Conjunct Mars in Capricorn
We start the year with the two cosmic lovers paired side by side in the sign of Capricorn. Venus and Mars coming together represent a perfect union of masculine and feminine or yin and yang. We feel whole, complete, and balanced in ourselves. The two cosmic lovers coming together is also a positive omen for finding love or feeling enriched and rewarded by our closest relationships. We may feel our hearts opening, a greater sense of attraction, or just a desire to be around those that we love and care for.
February 20th: Saturn conjunct Neptune in Aries
We had a taste of this in 2025, but the grand finale is here with Saturn and Neptune aligning in Aries. Saturn and Neptune come together every 36 years, and kick off a new evolution of our spiritual journey. We may experience a thinning of the veil, and feel closer to our spiritual essence. Alternatively, we may feel more alive and present with our physical body. This alignment may bring us back down to reality in some way, which will likely trigger a new spiritual understanding. These ideas will be revisited again on April 13th-19th, as Mars, the planet of action and energy, adds its presence.
October 3rd: Venus Retrograde in Scorpio & Libra
The planet of love and relationships is set to go retrograde until November 13th. This cycle aims to open our hearts and heal wounds in our closest relationships. We may be confronted with painful relationship dynamics or find ourselves struggling to express how we really feel. Venus Retrograde is a time to level up on all matters of the heart, but in doing so, we are guided to revisit the ways of our past so we can learn from them. Old relationship dynamics or exes may come back into our lives under this transit. It’s never a good idea to rekindle an old relationship when Venus is in retrograde, so be patient and instead, try to focus on what the relationship is trying to teach you. Venus will begin her retrograde in Scorpio, but make her way back into Libra on October 25th. This shift from Scorpio to Libra will lessen the intensity of the retrograde but will deepen the lessons.
