Neptune, Saturn, Mercury, and Chiron, all station retrograde this month, bringing a slow down to our cosmic skies. We are invited to look over the past and to reconsider before we can move forward.
With Mercury in Retrograde in particular, we may also feel mentally scattered and receive mixed messages from those around us. This will start to taper by the end of the month, when we experience Mercury Cazimi, which is the alignment of the Sun and Mercury.
July also brings the powerful Sirius Gateway, which offerse light activations that can enhance our brain waves and intuition. The Sirius Gateway marks the alignment of our Sun and Sirius, our Spiritual Sun. This alignment can connect us to greater divinity and is believed to help us channel our inner God.
Uranus also moves into Gemini this month, one of the key cosmic shifts that 2025 brings. While we may not realize the full potential of this ingress just yet, it will start planting seeds for bigger shifts and changes that are destined to unfold over the next few years.

July 2-7: Sirius Gateway
During the first week of July, our Sun aligns with Sirius, a star known as our Spiritual Sun. This alignment unlocks high-frequency energy that can help evoke new ideas and unlock intuitive brain waves. We may feel a greater desire for freedom, and any ideas we may have been sitting on will feel more palpable and manageable. This is a great time for innovation, thinking differently, and aligning with our spiritual selves. Sirius holds some sensitive energy that can also be used for healing mind, body, and soul. July 4: Neptune Retrograde
Neptune, the planet of dreams and illusions, just moved into Aries earlier in the year, but now it is stationing retrograde, giving us a little break from any new lessons that would have come up for us since its arrival into this new wing of the zodiac. Neptune Retrograde can expose untruths and bring illusions to the surface for examination. If you have been suspicious that you haven’t been receiving the truth, Neptune Retrograde is a good time to investigate and find answers- you will most likely find that the truth will be revealed. Neptune Retrograde can sometimes stifile our creative inspirations, but this setback will only propel us further once Neptune stations direct again on December 10th. July 3-4: Venus Conjunct Uranus
Venus, the planet of love and relationships, aligns with volatile Uranus, which is sitting at the final degree of Taurus. Venus and Uranus coming together in Taurus could stir important relationship matters that have been a theme since 2018. We may finally be able to make the changes we have been longing for, or if we have been working hard on the relationships in our lives, this is a time when we can see some progress. If a relationship, or even a creative project, has been on rocky ground, some clarity may also be gained.
July 4: Venus in Gemini
Venus moves into one of the most social signs of the zodiac! We may find our social calendars filling up, or we may feel more extroverted than we usually are. If you are looking to improve your social life, this is a great time to put some conscious intention in that direction. As Gemini is the sign of communication and Venus can bring creativity, this is a good time for creative storytelling, podcasting, and vlogging.
July 7: Uranus in Gemini
One of the big cosmic shake-ups of 2025 is here! Uranus is the planet of awakening and change, so its move into Gemini indicates a new area of life that will be awakening and changing for us! As we begin this new cycle, we also end an old cycle, too. Uranus entered Taurus in 2018, so if you have felt your life influx since then, this move of Uranus may bring some stability or help you to know where you finally stand. If you have made changes in your life since then, you may now also be realizing the full potential and rewards of those moves. Uranus moving into Gemini may also spark innovations in social media, communication, aviation, and technology, however we may have to wait till 2026 when Uranus settles in Gemini more permanently to truly see this action. July 10: Full Moon in Capricorn
The Capricorn Full Moon brings hard work, discipline, and responsibility! While this all sounds a bit dull, this Full Moon will be encouraging us to get our lives in order. We may be faced with some hard decisions, but keeping focused on the practical side of things can help. Of course, the Full Moon is generally a highly emotional time where things rise to the surface, but the Capricorn Full Moon asks us to see things in a more black and white manner. As Capricorn rules over Saturn, and Saturn is geared to station retrograde in a few days, we may also feel our Saturnian lessons rise up to challenge us. Saturn gets a negative rap in astrology sometimes, but it is the Lord of Karma, and just like it brings lessons that can be hard, it also brings karmic rewards!
July 13: Saturn Retrograde
Saturn enters Retrograde for the first time since moving into Aries. Saturn Retrograde is a time to do a life review- do you like where you are heading? If the answer is no, this is your chance to make plans and take steps to change course. Saturn wants us to step up and take responsibility for our lives and the direction they are moving in, and while in Retrograde, it’s the perfect time to go over and review what we want to change and what we no longer wish to tolerate. Saturn Retrograde also tends to highlight where we need to set boundaries with ourselves and others.
July 18: Mercury Retrograde in Leo
The third planet to go retrograde this month is Mercury! Mercury is one of the most potent retrogrades we can experience, but it won’t last for long, ending a few weeks later on August 11. Mercury Retrograde is a time to listen to your inner world and to clear the noises and opinions of others. Sometimes it can be hard to listen to ourselves when we are bombarded with stimuli from screens, the world around us, and those closest to us. Mercury Retrograde is a good time to go within and to really figure out what we wish to communicate and express to ourselves and the world around us. July 21-22: Mars Conjunct South Node
Mars will align with the South Node in Virgo, which may trigger events from the Virgo Blood Moon Eclipse we experienced back in March. You can get a refresher on the Eclipse energy here.
July 22: Sun in Leo
The Sun moves into the fire sign of Leo, bringing an end to watery Cancer Season. With the Sun in Leo, we may be feeling more playful and excited to try new things. Leo Season is our time to shine bright and feel confident in who we are and where we are going.
July 24: Leo New Moon
The Leo new Moon arrives, bringing the fiery energy of play! This is a bright new moon that we can use to channel energy in the direction of our choosing. Pluto, Lord of the Underworld and the planet of transformation, is very active under this New Moon, indicating that it may bring some changes or shifts. When Pluto and the Moon get together, we also tend to feel hidden and unexpressed emotions rising to the surface to be looked at. Pluto’s presence can also bring up power struggles, or highlight where we are feeling displaced or taken advantage of in our lives. Pay attention to what the Universe brings up for you; chances are, something will have to shift.
July 30: Chiron Retrograde
Chiron, the wounded healer, enters retrograde in the sign of Aries. Chiron represents the wounds we inherit in this lifetime and before we come into this body. With Chiron in retrograde, we are invited to pause our healing journey and just bring total acceptance to where we stand. Chiron in Aries is a symbol for allowing our wounds to turn us into warriors, not hardened and evasive warriors, but warriors of wisdom and deep knowing. Chiron Retrograde can sometimes bring old wounds to the surface for us to look at, and can stir past-life memories that may be important for us to explore. While delving into our past or even past lives can be insightful, the fiery Aries energy reminds us that the only way through is forward.
July 30: Venus in Cancer
Venus moves into heart-centered Cancer, turning our attention toward the softer things in life. This is a good time to redecorate our space and work on feeling more centered and aligned in our home environments. This is also a positive time to surround yourself with people that you love and can lift you higher. Make it a point to reach out to such people, and let them know how you feel.
July 31: Sun Conjunct Mercury Retrograde (Mercury Cazimi)
The Sun and Mercury Retrograde align, making it a power day for our Mercury Retrograde cycle. It’s at this time that we may start seeing what messages Mercury has been trying to communicate to us. Issues from the past may also come back up to be resolved.
