Capricorn Season begins on December 21st, the same day as the Solstice and the Great Conjunction of 2020. Talk about a powerful day!
This is wonderful energy to begin a new season with and indicates a time of heightened energy, where our ability to manifest, create, and raise our vibration will be at an all time high.
Capricorn has been a busy place in the zodiac in 2020, but now it is getting a little bit of a break as planets move on and into other signs.
Capricorn is represented by the Seagoat. This mythical creature that is half fish, half goat possesses both the wisdom and knowledge of the mountains and of the sea.
All of us, despite our personal zodiac sign, have been working with strong Capricorn energy all through 2020, and perhaps now we can look back and recognize the wisdom that we have gained.
We have swum to the depths of the ocean but perhaps we have also climbed to the top of the mountain too. We have seen life from many different vantage points, and we are so much wiser because of it.

December 21- Solstice and Great Conjunction
Welcome to Capricorn Season! This is a high energy day that defines the start of a new era. We are beginning a new cycle for the planet as a whole. The strong energies on this day are also pushing us forward into a ‘New Earth’ and raising the frequencies of the planet. There is so much energy to unpack here, so check out this article for more. December 23- Final Mars Square Pluto
We have had two Mars Square Pluto alignments this year and this is the third and final one. This alignment has contributed to some of the tense energies we may have been feeling these last few months. Watch what occurs around this time as we may get the last few pieces of the story unfolding for us. While this alignment can indicate tension, being the last in this series it may also help to bring some closure. Watch your energy levels on this day too, don’t overdo it or push yourself too hard. Move and work mindfully.
December 28/29- Full Moon in Cancer
A sensitive and emotional Full Moon, but also a very freeing one. Whatever heavy weights or burdens we have carried may come crashing down. While this may feel emotional, it will also free us of any weight we no longer need to carry. This is a sensitive time too, so be gentle with yourself. Your full forecast is here.
January 6, 2021- Mars enters Taurus
Mars finally leaves Aries where it has been since June 2020. Mars normally moves through each sign of the zodiac with speed but its extra-long stay in Aries has been unusual. We have had a lot to learn while Mars has been in Aries but now that it’s moving on, we may feel a shift of energy. We may notice delays or conflicts that were active in mid to late 2020 settle.
January 12, 2021- Capricorn New Moon
This is the first New Moon of the calendar year! It brings some wildcard and perhaps volatile energy. There is a lot of planetary energy brewing, but it is a good opportunity to also think about what is important and what we wish to focus on in the new year.
January 13, 2021- Mars Square Saturn
This is the final in a series we have been working with for the last few months. Mars Square Saturn can bring some heightened tensions and may trigger old wounds that we saw unfolding in mid-2020. This energy can also bring a clash between establishments and the people. While it is a tense alignment it is also a good time to find the strength and motivation to get hard things completed.
January 14, 2021- Uranus goes Direct
Uranus goes direct after being retrograde since August 2020. We have a lot of forward-moving momentum in the cosmos to enjoy! If you have wanted to make changes in your life, this energy will be favorable. Use this forward moving energy now as Mercury will begin preparing to go retrograde at the end of the month.
January 17, 2020- Jupiter Square Uranus
Jupiter is the planet of expansion and Uranus is the planet of change. This combination could bring some rebellious or combative energy. It can also bring some new information or insights to the surface that require swift change. On deeper levels, this energy is amazing for awakenings and choosing to see things from a new vantage point. When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.
