As the Sun entered Aries last month, the start of the astrological new year began. Now on April 19th, the Sun is leaving Aries for Taurus.
We are making our way around the zodiac wheel and who knows where our journey will take us. There are so many changes happening in the world right now and this is both scary and exciting.
Taurus Season is a busy season with a lot happening, the most notable event being all the retrogrades.
For quite a while now, we have had zero planets in retrograde, meaning that all the cosmic energy has been in a forward-moving direction.
We have all had many new experiences under this energy, but as we reach the end of Taurus Season, we will have four planets in retrograde. This retrograde energy will be asking us to reflect and look back on the past before we can move forward again.
The first retrograde happens on April 24th with Pluto. Then on May 10th Saturn goes retrograde, followed by Venus on the 12th and Jupiter on the 14th.
Retrogrades are always most potent when they start and when they end, so these dates are definitely going to be ones to pay attention to.
Taurus Season also brings the Taurus New Moon on April 22nd. The energy around this New Moon is a little challenging, but it is encouraging us to stretch our minds and bring a new vision to life.
We can’t go back to the past, we can only look forward, and this New Moon will be sending us inspiration to do just that. It will be asking us, what seeds do I now want to plant for my future?
The New Moon represents the start of a lunar cycle and a time where we can set intentions. The intentions that we set at this time will begin slowly budding as we reach the Full Moon, which happens on May 7th.
This is the Scorpio Full Moon, which is always potent and transformative. Our intuition and connection with higher realms will be strong and we may even find it easier to soften into alignment.
As this is the Scorpio Full Moon, we can also look back to what was happening last Scorpio Season for clues on what we are being called to release and let go of.
Specifically, think back to what was happening in your life around the end of October 2019 as similar themes or patterns may come up for a final clearing and releasing.
This is a Full Moon to detoxify and really let go so you can welcome this grand new beginning that is slowly taking shape in the cosmic skies.
Another significant date this Taurus Season is the meeting of the Sun and Uranus which happens on the April 26th.
This is a pivotal day and one where we can start receiving further downloads about what changes Uranus has been instilling in our lives and around the world.
Uranus moved into Taurus back in 2018 and since this time, it has been working to bring changes to planet Earth. You can read more about what these changes are destined to be here.
As Taurus Season comes to an end, we will start feeling the energy of the Pleiadean star system as the Sun aligns with its major star, Alcyone.
I like to think of Alcyone as the feminine version of Sirius. If Sirius is our Spiritual Sun, then I think Alycone can be our Shadow Sun. The Sun that shines a light on all that deeper, darker stuff we have to wade through in order to reach new levels of spiritual awareness.
As we wrap up Taurus Season and head into Gemini Season, Alycone’s energy will be strong and we will be able to tap into the shadows that are needed for our own spiritual transformation.
These shadows are our fears and repressed emotions. These shadows are also the feelings of shame we may possess around ourselves and our lives.
Exposing and bringing these into the light is always possible, but under the influence of the Pleiades we may feel divinely supported and guided to do this work.
Taurus Season 2020 is a very spiritual time where we can connect with our guides and higher realms.
If you are looking for guidance and support in your life, go within, get still with yourself, and then ask the Universe and your spirit guides to support you.
Ask for your next step to be revealed, ask to be shown the way, ask to be supported as you continue venturing this journey through into the new.
Taurus Season brings its heaviness with all the retrogrades, but it will slow things down, giving us a chance to catch our breath and digest the last few months we have traveled.
